    This day-trip hot spring is located inside the Watarase Keikoku Line’s Mizunuma Station. It has a Kappa bath, named after the legend of the Kamagafuchi Kappa told in Watarase River, upstream of the center, and also a bathing room with large windows that has a view of the Watarase River. The water is a nice and hot, and it is a carbon dioxide sodium calcium chloride bicarbonate cold mineral spring. It is said to be effective for nerve pain, healing bruises, sensitivity to cold, etc. The Watarase-An restaurant’s famous Kiryu Rice Bowl and Mountain Eel Rice Bowl are popular.

    This day use hot spring facility, located about three-minutes by car from the Shibukawa-Ikaho Interchange on the Kanetsu Expressway, features as spaceship-like design. The bathhouse which includes an open-air bath is at a height of 15 meters above the ground, and from the “Akagi-no-yu” bath visitors can view Mt. Akagi and the Kanto Plain, and from the “Haruna-no-yu”, views of the mountains including Mt. Haruna can be enjoyed. Each week the allocation of the men and women baths are changed. The water quality includes sodium and calcium-chloride (an acid hypotonicity elevated temperature spring) and is said to be effective for neuralgia and muscle pain, etc. The facility also offers a restaurant and karaoke room.

    This footbath, located next to the Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal, consists of a modern-styled wood gazebo enclosing a stone bath basin. Open 24 hours a day and available for all to use, its perfect for soaking tired feet just after getting off a bus or while waiting for your bus to arrive. The bath’s clear waters are constantly replenished from a hot spring source and will warm your entire body from your feet. The bath is compact, so visitors are encouraged to be forgiving of each other and make space so everyone can enjoy it. Be aware that no towels are provided, so be sure to bring your own for drying your feet afterward.

    A footbath located in front of the Jizo Hot Spring public hot spring bathhouse. Open 24 hours a day, everyone is free to enjoy the footbath while being watched over by the nearby Jizo statue and enjoying the view of the hot spring mineral harvesting field. After enjoying a bath in the Jizo Hot Spring, soak your feet here to stay warm while waiting to meet up with friends. The stone paving at the front of the footbath is covered with small stones for visitors to walk barefoot on to stimulate the pressure points of the feet. Try walking on them after warming your feet in the bath for a foot massage-like effect.

    A public bathing bath facility in Kusatsu, Kusatsu Town. It is a free bathhouse managed by local residents, but it is also open to tourists. The bath is fed from the source known as the Jizo Source in the small yubatake (hot water field and spring source) in front of the bath house. Nearby is a small hall with decorated Jizo statues inside affectionately known as the Mearai Jizo (eye-washing Jizo statues).
