    Miyagi Sendai-shi Aoba-ku Ichibancho 2-3-28
This back alley shopping district is located in Ichibancho 2-Chome, Aoba Ward, Sendai City. It originated from the many street vendors that gathered here during the recovery from the bombing of Sendai in 1945. Even today, it retains its retro Showa period vibe. The alley is lined with izakaya (Japanese-style pubs) and other restaurants as well as clothing stores, sundries shops, and other vendors.

Due piccoli vicoli pieni di locali molto interessanti,da piccoli negozi a izakaya da pochi posti. La cucina varia molto, per gli italiani consiglio Rocco pizzeria, qualità prezzo merita una visita

Jozenji-dori Street is a symbol of Sendai, city of trees. This Japanese zelkova lined road stretches about 700 meters, creating a beautiful blue-green leaf tunnel under the dancing sunbeams. The sidewalks are lined with bronze statues, and the street is home to many stylish cafes and shops.

    Miyagi Pref. Natorishi Yuriage 5-23-20
This morning market is a 30-year-old market held only on Sundays and public holidays in Yuriage in Natori city, which has been a fishing port since the Edo period. With their motto “great goods for cheap”, there are a variety of stores including 50 permanent stores that sell local fresh seafood fished from the nearby ocean, local vegetables, and pre-made side dishes. A connecting hearth area allows you to cook and eat your purchases onsite.

Nothing spectacular but its a decent little market with fresh fish and vegetables. New post tsunami pavilion (thank you Canadian government!) offers some small goods including tinned whale meat.

There is a wide variety of eateries including izayaka Japanese bars and restaurants, as well as everyday item stores, antique shops, aizome (indigo dye) and incense specialists, and hobby shops line the streets.

Miyagi Pref. Sendaishi Aoba-ku Chuou 4-3-28
This permanent market is in Aoba Ward, Sendai City. Although it's called the Morning Market, it is an urban shopping street. Most of its shops operate between 8:00 and 18:00 and sell seafood landed at Sendai's fishing port as well as produce carried across the mountains from Yamagata. It has become known Sendai's Kitchen and Sendai's Ameyoko because of the wealth of food on offer. There are also many sweet shops, sushi shops, and delis, making it a popular place to eat on the go.

Miyagi Areas

around-area-map

Lying along the northeastern coast of Japan, Miyagi prefecture is home to lashings of natural parks, oysters, and hot springs. While the bustling city of Sendai offers some simple city entertainment, it's the Matsushima islands that deserve the most attention, having boosted the prefecture's reputation as one of Japan's most scenic views.
