This winery, located in Hiraniwa Highland in Iwate District, Iwate Prefecture, was established in 1979 as part of a project aimed at town renewal utilizing the area's crimson glory vine grapes. Focused on making wines rooted in the local community, the winery makes wines like Yamabudo Wine made exclusively with crimson glory vine grapes; Hotaru; and Foret, a wine made with European grapes which has won awards in international wine competitions. Visitors can taste and purchase the winery's wines in the on-site shop. With an advance reservation, you can tour the winery and view the production tanks, bottling facility, and even the wine cellar, plus enjoy soba noodles and other dishes at the adjoining restaurant dedicated to local production for local consumption.

    珍しい山ぶどうのワインのワイナリーです。 ワイン醸造場の見学コースもあります。 おススメは常時10種類以上のワインの無料試飲ができることですね。

"A brewery located a 10-minute walk from JR Kamimorioka Station. The brewery makes traditional, classic style beers using brewing equipment purchased from the south of Germany. The brewery took the top prize at the first ""Japanese Craft Beers We Want to Share with the World"" contest and also published a book on the journey from the brewery's foundation to winning this event. There's a room where visitors can see inside the brewery, and a brewery shop where you can taste fresh made local beer. The staple Classic has been brewed since the brewery was established and is characterized by its excellent balance between body and bitter flavor."

Iwate Areas

around-area-map

A northern Tohoku prefecture promising peace and quiet, Iwate is sparsely populated, replacing people with snow-capped mountains, history-rich sites, and fields of crops that are to thank for the region’s delicious local cuisine. Meander along the three-city Golden Route, where you’ll visit the grand Buddhist temples of Hiraizumi and the Tono folk villages before tasting the three famed noodle dishes of Morioka.
