    一時間200円という利用料の安さに驚きましたが、芝生の整備もしっかりされています。アマチュアの野球大会などで使われています。

    江戸時代から盛岡城に縁のある場所。南部伯爵家別邸として1908年に新築造園された木造建築と庭園が見事です。秋の紅葉のライトアップが有名ですが、初夏の庭園は睡蓮や紫陽花が見頃。池の周辺を歩いたり、木陰のベンチでゆっくりのんびり。館内には行列ができる手打ちそば屋さん極楽野があり、庭園をみられる席でお蕎麦をいただくのが人気。駐車場もあり盛岡の身近なお出かけスポットです。

    2019年は何度か国内旅行をしましたが、結果的にここが最も印象に残りました。震災前の町の中心地に建てられた木造3階建てのユニークな建物です。通称は「おしゃっち」、これは江戸時代の天神社を祀った祠があった事に由来します。最上階には町立図書館があり震災関係の図書も収蔵、施設の周辺には復興したカフェやお店もあってとてもいい感じです。
