    This theater, located in Kotohira, Nakatado County, Kagawa Prefecture, is the oldest extant theater in Japan. It was built in 1835 as a playhouse for providing regular entertainment to believers in the seafaring deity Konpira, who had many followers in the Edo period. In 1970, it was designated a National Important Cultural Property. For four years beginning in 1972, it was restored and reconstructed in its present location, and it exudes the style and chic of the typical Edo period theater at the time. Every April, the “Shikoku Konpira Grand Kabuki Performance” is held, which attracts many kabuki fans from outside the prefecture.

    Just the building to see, no props. A short tour in english and then you can wonder around yourself, trying to image what it would be like during a performance.

    讃岐市に位置している、音楽系のイベントに適している野外音楽広場です。剣闘士奴隷の試合があったコロセウムのような感じです。

    This live music venue opened in 2004. The name comes from a group of musicians active in Kagawa for about 12 years from 1971 to 1983. Shows are held daily, giving people the chance to take in a wide variety of live acts.

    高松市にある貴重なライブハウスです。小規模なイベントからも使うことができるようで、音質やパフォーマンス性がよろし。

    国道11号線の東かがわ市の県道129号線を南下すると、この施設があります。東かがわ市にある総合施設の一部として、このパペットランドがあります。 「手袋の街」を謳い文句としているので、その発展型として、パペットになったのかもと想像しています。 なかなか、本気の人形劇やパペットの施設です。近くに訪問の際は一見の価値があります。

    JR高松駅から徒歩で10分かかるかかからないかくらいの所にあります。あらゆるイベントごとに使用されるボールですが、現在は新型コロナの影響で前を通っても人気もなくとても静かでした。 賑わいが戻ってくることを願うばかりです。

    出来て間もないらしく内部も外部も綺麗でした。石のタイルの外壁や雨除けのアーケードさえ美しく感じました。
