This facility displays materials and documents demonstrating that history. The third Sunday every month is ""Mint Day"", featuring events like distributing mint water and free mint tea."

    Had no idea that mint was provided to the world via Hokkaido farms! And how sad it had to come to an end. The final little shop that had a small view of how it was done was great, the building...

    Hokkaido Kitami-shi Saiwaicho 7-chome 4-28

    板塀の外壁が目立つ2階建てのレトロ建築でした。大正時代に宣教師として滞在したピアソン夫妻の住宅だった建物で、現在は「北見市指定文化財」として保存、公開されている旨が紹介されていました。又、道路側の標識には「北海道遺産」とも記されていました。
