"Kaii Higashiyama, a famous painter in the Japanese style, spent most of his life in the city of Ichikawa. The Higashiyama Kaii Memorial Hall has a collection of his prototypes, as well as his Japanese-style paintings, lithographs, woodblock prints, and reproductions, which are on exhibit. Related materials are also on exhibit, collected under the name ""Kaii Higashiyama as a Person,"" describing his accomplishments. The museum building, which is built in Western style to evoke Germany, where Higashiyama studied, also contains a cafe and restaurant."

The sea around Futtsu used to be a shallow and rich fishing ground, but it was eventually filled in to create the area you see today. This memorial passes on the history of the area's fishing traditions prior to the landfill for future generations. Exhibits include fishing equipment and video that depicts how the area used to be, letting you see how much it's changed.

The Boso Peninsula forms the main body of Chiba prefecture, and this is where you’ll find its endless warm water beaches and jagged mountains. Further inland, Narita - most famous as the home of Narita Airport - is a secret haven of tradition and history in the form of centuries-old Shinshoji Temple and quaint wooden Edo buildings. Chiba prefecture is also home to both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea.
