    A roadside station standing along National Route 235 in Mukawa Town, Yufutsu County, Hokkaido. Dedicated to the theme of promoting health, the station is equipped with a hot bath facility and a sports plaza. In addition, the station's restaurant, Tanpopo, serves seafood dishes like shishamo smelt, a local specialty, and Sakhalin surf clam rice bowls.

    駐車場も広くて立派な建物です。近くで恐竜の化石が発見されたとのことで、化石のレリーフや恐竜のマスコットが出迎えてくれました。シシャモ漁の解禁は10月1日とのことで、冷凍ものしかありませんでした。

    Roadside Station in Shinhidaka Town, Hidaka County, Hokkaido. Visit the shops as you enjoy the beach and swim in the ocean in Mitsuishi-Kaihin Park. Campervans are also permitted, just see the reception desk in the Roadside Station. The facility also has coin operated showers and laundry facilities, as well as shops where you can purchase souvenir seafood.

    バンガローのあるオートキャンプ場や温泉施設も併設する道の駅で、海に面しているのでロケーションが良いです。漁協直営の特産品販売センターでは、日高産の昆布やツブ貝などが並んでいましたが種類・品数は少なめでした。ホットドッグをテイクアウトしましたが、テラス席やベンチがないので困りましまございません。

    Roadside station in Hidaka Town, Saru County, Hokkaido. Located at the junction of the Sapporo-Obihiro and Asahiwaka-Tomakomai national highways. A great spot for drivers on Hidaka Pass to rest with gift shops as well as cafes, soba restaurants, and more for light meals. There is also a Hidaka Mountains Museum which introduces the abundant nature and geological features of the Hidaka mountain range.

    入口の看板の上では、棹立ちする悍馬が勇ましい姿です。駅名のとおり、サラブレッドのフィギュアや木彫り細工、蹄鉄なども販売しています。ウイットの効きすぎた「馬ふんまんじゅう」なる珍品もありました。地域特産のピーマンを使用した羊羹やチィップスもありました。
