    T Galleria is a duty-free shopping complex located in Naha City’s new downtown area, accessible from Omoromachi Station on the Okinawa Urban Monorail (Yuirail) line. It is the only place in Japan where visitors can enjoy duty-free shopping without needing to show their passports. T Galleria’s target customers are people who will be traveling from Naha Airport on domestic flights to other parts of Japan, and people with tickets for international flights. Duty-free goods can be purchased up to two hours before departure, and then collected at the Duty Free Shopping (DFS) counter in Naha Airport. Besides popular fashion and cosmetics brands, T Galleria also sells Okinawa souvenirs such as Awamori liquor and Chinsuko biscuits.

    Shuri Kannon-do Temple, one of the 12 temples in Shuri, is a temple for the Rinzai sect Myoshinji school. The temple is officially called Jigen-in. In the Ryukyu Kingdom period, King Sho Kyu erected a goddess of mercy temple to celebrate the return of Prince Sashiki who was held hostage by the Satsuma Domain and built the Jigen-in to the south in 1618. It is a holy site for the worship of the goddess of mercy in Okinawa and the principal image is a Thousand-armed Avalokiteshvara.

    Tsuboya Yachimun Street is located near Kokusai dori Street. In the Okinawan dialect, “Yachimun” refers to pottery. It is said that about 330 years ago, the Ryukyu King gathered potters to Tsuboya in Naha from various places and this was the beginnings of Tsuboya pottery. Strong traces of the past linger on this road with its stone paving, stone walls and its buildings with red tile roofs, potters with inherited techniques, from Yachimun pottery and Okinawan lion statue stores and restaurants standing side by side in a row.
