This amusement park is located in Shibushi City, Kagoshima Prefecture. The park features a attractions such as a Ferris wheel popular for its panoramic views of Shibushi Bay as well as go karts and a chair swing ride. One of its most popular attractions is its seawater pool, which features a 100-meter-long lazy river and a water slide.

桜島から都井岬に到る国道は220号線と448号線が重なる部分、やがて恋ヶ浦サーフポイントの先で土砂崩れとかで不通となる。この辺りはまだ志布志湾沿いの美しい海岸線。うらやましい。波も南海トラフの影響も少なそう。

"This forest park that is about 20 hectares large is located at the foot of Mt. Yuwandake, the highest peak on Amami Oshima Island. There is a ""Fureai Zone"" where you can play in an adventure playground, a ""Waterfront Zone"" where you can see insects and aquatic animals in the pond and plaza, and a ""Mountain Stream Zone"" centered on Materiya Waterfall. There is also a campground where you can do sports training and learn about nature. You can enjoy Amami's first official grand golf course on the vast site empty-handed because you can rent golf clubs."

マテリアの滝を見に行った後、名音方面に向かう途中に偶然通りました。１月下旬はちょうど桜が満開のシーズンで、一面がピンクに染まっていました。名音方面は、道が悪いので通ったことを後悔したくらいなので、大和方面に戻ることをお勧めします。

初めて地熱発電所と言うところに行きました。水力とは違った自然の力を利用した発電所ですが、そのスケールに驚きました。一見の価値ありだと思います。

A complex facility built next to JR Izumi Station. The exterior and interior are characterized by the samurai residence style. In addition to a souvenir shop, a tourist information center, a restaurant, and a civic hall that serves as a rest area, etc. are available. The souvenir shop carries many specialty products of Izumi City, such as tea, Satsuma-age (fried fish paste), shochu (distilled liquor), sweets, and citrus fruits, as well as many specialty products from Kagoshima Prefecture neighborhood. It is also expected to function as a base for local revitalization by being used as a venue for events such as special product fairs and markets, and by handling bicycle rental.

出水駅構内にある観光特産品館飛来里（ひらり）は、お土産品売店の他、観光案内所や、お食事処、休憩所として利用できる複合機能施設です。レンタサイクルを借りて、重伝建の町並みを観光しました。お茶菓子に「菓心いちしめ」さんの丸鶴よもぎを購入。ちょっと変わったかるかん饅頭ですね。生地はもっちり・ねっとり、よもぎ餡のいい香りが口の中に広がります。

A spacious park located a 35-minute ride from JR Kagoshima-Chuo Station on the City View bus Waterfront Course and a three-minute walk from the “Gionnosu Koen-mae” stop. A renowned destination for cherry blossom viewing, in spring the sight of the trees in full bloom with Sakurajima floating in Kinko Bay in the background attracts many people. The lush grounds encompass a bronze statue of Marshal Togo Heihachiro, who was born in the bygone Satsuma Domain and served in the navy from the end of the Edo period to the early Meiji period. A grave holding a lock of Togo’s hair can also be found in the park. Visitors can also view the site of Tofukuji Castle, which was built by Haseba Nagazumi.

「多賀山公園」をご存じでしょうか？鹿児島市にある眺めの良い公園です。公園内には東福寺城跡や無敵のバルチック艦隊を撃破した勝利に導いた東郷元帥の銅像があり桜の名所としても知られていますが、当日は遅く葉桜になっていました。錦江湾の奥に見える桜島は雄大で素晴らしいです。祇園之洲公園も近くにあります。

A nature park located in the northeast of Kagoshima City. 12 varieties of cherry trees alone grow on the grounds, and in spring, first Yoshino cherries come into bloom followed by more rare varieties like Kawazu-zakura cherry trees and Izu no Odoriko cherry trees. Also a renowned destination for plum and azalea blossoms, more than 70 thousand plants spanning some 140 varieties grow on the grounds, including Japanese iris, hydrangea, and sunflowers. The park has been selected for inclusion in a list of Japan’s 100 best city parks, the park’s observatory situated on a 234-meter-high rise gives a sweeping view of the surrounding area. Magnificent, beautiful Sakurajima stands just across Kinko Bay.

Makurazaki City is the top producer in Japan of deep ocean skipjack tuna and katsuobushi (dried skipjack tuna flakes), and this popular facility serves the freshest skipjack tuna. Located along Makurazaki Fishing Port, visitors can also buy fresh seafood direct from the adjoining market. The facility houses two restaurants. Sakanaya Shokudo on the first floor serves reasonably priced set meals. Buen on the second floor overlooks the port and offers seared skipjack and skipjack tuna head stewed in miso meals. The facility's warayaki event (reservation required), which teaches you how to properly grill skipjack tuna over straw the old fashioned way, and even which lets you try flaking katsuobushi are popular.

Kagoshima Kanoya-shi Kihokucho Ichinari 1660-3

This astronomical observatory is located inside Kihoku Uwaba Park at an elevation of 550 meters. It was built to commemorate Kihoku Uwaba Park's four consecutive years as Japan's best stargazing spot according to the Ministry of the Environment's Star Watching Network. The observatory is notable for its unique space-themed exterior. A 65-centimeter Cassegrain reflector telescope is installed inside of the observatory's dome. There is also a gallery on the third floor featuring photographs of the surfaces of planets captured by space probes, astrophotography taken through the telescopes, and other exhibits.

This tourism complex, built in the shinden-zukuri style like a Heian period palace, adjoins Kirishima Shrine a 15-minute drive from Kirishimajingu Station on the JR Nippo Main Line. A variety of crafts made using Yakushima cedar are displayed in the Yakusugi Shiryokan hall. Visitors can also try making Ryujin ware porcelain in the Togei Kobo Ryujin ware ceramics studio. Visitors are free to look at the class crafts made and displayed in the Glass Kobo studio. Visitors can also purchase Yakushima cedar, porcelain, and glass crafts in the complex' crafts shop. Additionally, there's the detached Satsuma Jokiya confectionary shop and the Jingutei restaurant.

霧島神宮から南側を走る国道近くに向かうと、観光案内所やいくつかのお店などが集まっている門前町に出ました。門前町の川側の一段低い場所に、こちらの施設、霧島民芸村がありました。「霧島民芸村」ってなんだろうと思いながら向かうと、立派なお屋敷のような建物がありました。中には屋久杉でつくられた大きな木工製品などが並んでいます。屋久杉史料館もありました。

The bathhouse incorporates universal design principles and its bathing rooms and rest lounges have very few differences in level. The separate men's and women's indoor bathing areas are replete with a variety of baths, including a hinoki cypress bath, redolent with the fragrance of the wood; a jacuzzi; and a footbath. The bathhouse also has open and airy outdoor baths and private reservable indoor baths, as well as a delightful granite stone sauna. The bathhouse makes use of a sodium-hydrogen carbonate spring whose waters have a nice texture, and customers rave about their beautifying properties. The bathhouse also has a restaurant and massage room.

Kagoshima Izumi-shi Kamiokawauchi 2648-banchi 4

This expansive park is located along Prefectural Route 118 on a 500-meter-high plateau straddling the border of Kumamoto Prefecture and Kagoshima Prefecture. The roughly three-hectare park has been planted with rape blossoms, hydrangea, cosmos, and other flowers. It is best known for the 100,000 rape blossoms that bloom in the spring and the 250,000 cosmos that bloom in the fall. Many tourists to visit the park during the cosmos season to view the vast fields of pink flowers from the park's observatory. Visitors can also purchase local vegetables at the markets held in the park at this time. The park also holds hands-on food education events such as making ice cream with milk produced local in Izumi as well as pizza making using a brick oven.

Kagoshima Amami-shi Kasaricho Yani 1551

This scenic park on Amami Oshima's Cape Gamo features an observatory that offers park-goers a view of the East China Sea beyond Kasari Bay. It is also known for one of the best places in the prefecture to watch a sunset. According to legend passed down on the island, a watchtower was built here on the cape long ago by the Taira Clan to watch for pursuers after their disastrous defeat at the Battle of Dannoura. Cape Gamo is said to have been so-named because a Taira vassal named Gamo Saemon stood watch here.

国道から狭い道を登っていきます。笠利崎灯台方面から来ると、入口が分かりづらいので注意が必要です。展望台に上がると東シナ海や太平洋、笠利湾が見渡せる眺望ポイントがあります。訪れた日は雲がかかっていたため、夕日は見られませんでしたが、写真で見ると綺麗な夕焼けを眺めることができそうです。途中に蒲生神社があるので、そこでお参りをするのも良いでしょう。

An observatory located in the heart of the city. The observatory is situated on 107-meter-high Mt. Shiroyama and looks out over the sites of numerous ancient battlefields connected to the Satsuma Rebellion. Over 600 varieties of temperate and subtropical trees and plants grow thick on the small mountain, including giant camphor, ferns, and sweet viburnum, making it a popular destination among locals to relax and refresh themselves. The observatory offers a sweeping view of Sakurajima, Kinko Bay, and the streets of Kagoshima City, and, on clear days, visitors can enjoy a vast panorama extending all the way to the Kirishima Mountains and Kaimondake Volcano in Ibusuki. The observatory is also famous for its beautiful nightscape. This fantastic scenery has also been designated a National Historic Site and Natural Monument.

This day-use hot spring bathhouse, located an 18-minute drive from the Hayato-higashi Interchange on the Kyushu Expressway, has only private reservable baths, each of which is decorated in elegant Japanese style. Encircled by seasonal flowering trees, the bathhouse has 21 private bathing rooms, each with its own style, and each of which has an indoor bath and an outdoor bath. The bathhouse also has bathing rooms which incorporate universal design principles or have additional facilities such as a mist sauna or Shigaraki ware beautifying air bubble bath. The baths are supplied with free-flowing spring water from a sodium hydrocarbonate spring whose waters can also be drunk for health benefits. Each bathing room is replete with body soap, shampoo, and conditioner.

2,700の梔子（くちなし）を利用しました。内風呂も露天風呂もゆったり入れる大きさで、とろとろのお湯で肌がつるつるします。内風呂は50℃のお湯と水を混ぜながら温度を調節しながら張り、ある程度一杯になったらお湯の出は少なくなります。人気と聞いていて10時前に駐車場に付きましたが、次々に車が入ってくるので急いで入口に並びました。風呂上がりに休憩室でゆっくりくつろげるのもとてもいいです。

An alkaline simple spring bathhouse located a five-minute drive from Tarumizu Port. All of the baths are constantly supplied “kakenagashi” style from the source spring. Visitors can enjoy hot spring bathing along with an up-close view of smoking Sakurajima. The bathhouse also operates as a hotel and guests can make use of the bathing facilities for free.
