    This tourist information center is located in Tomo-cho, Fukuyama City. The center is situated on the Seto Inland Sea coastline in Tomonoura, called the gateway to Tomo district. It offers a large selection of tourism information for the Tomonoura (Tomo Bay) area. Pamphlets and maps of the region are available also. One can purchase local products such as Houmeishu liquor, and snapper fish products such as tubular fish-paste and miso, and sweets that make good gifts in the adjoining shop. The prepared dishes, snapper rice and sushi items are considered to be specialty foods of the Seto Island Sea.

    観光センターとバスセンターを兼ねた施設でした。観光案内も行われているのでしょうが、土産物店と云うのが実態のようで地元及び周辺の土産物が揃っていました。但し、よくよく製造場所を確認しなければ地元の土産物とは云えそうに無いものもあるようで、今回はレモン塩を土産として購入しました。猶、館内の一角には「鞆鉄道資料館」としてスペースが割かれ、鉄道現役時の展示物等が並んでいました。

    This tourist information center is on the second floor of Kure Central Pier Terminal, located about a one-minute walk from JR Kure Station. Visitors can pick up pamphlets and flyers about tourism in Kure City, arrange a tourist taxi, receive information on transportation, and more. It also offers a large rest space. Adjacent to the Yamato Museum, many tourists visit the center.

    This is the tourist information center located in Setoda Town, Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture. It provides tourist information on Hirayama Ikuo Museum of Art, Kousanji Temple, the town and also general information on the Shimanami Kaido Expressway. There are various pamphlets and sightseeing maps available. Bicycles for both adults and children are available for rental at a fee. There are many other services such as coin lockers, free air pumps for bicycles and convenient services for cyclists. Free Wifi provided.

    This large tourism complex stands next to the Ondo-no-Seto strait, which, according to legend, was opened up by the mighty samurai leader Taira no Kiyomori. Situated adjacent to the crimson Ondo-ohashi Bridge, the complex houses a tourist information center, exhibition room, hall, and restaurant. In Katsuratei, the complex’ restaurant on the top floor, you can enjoy fresh, seasonal seafood while watching boats come and go through the strait directly below. A souvenir shop on the first floor carries popular local Ondo products and specialty products sold no place else. Many people stop by here while going on scenic drives through the area.

    頭上に音戸大橋、目の前に音戸の瀬戸を運航する船舶と海原を眺められるナイスビュースポットです。歴史的経緯を知るとなお鑑賞し甲斐があります。

    This is a store selling special local products located near Kamagari-ohashi Bridge in Kumagaricho-mukai, Kure City. The shop offers specialty foods such as ice cream made from Kure salted seaweed, as well as local produce grown by local farmers and processed marine products. In addition, there is a cafeteria and information desk, and an observation deck overlooking the Seto Inland Sea.

    下蒲刈島の観光に出掛けた際、蒲刈大橋を渡り、立ち寄りました。 海を見渡せる高台にあり、地域の特産品が揃う直売所、奥に食堂エリア、観光案内所など、観光拠点施設になっています。 周囲には、展望台や蒲刈蜜柑発祥の地の記念碑などもありました。 道の駅のような施設なので、立ち寄ってみてください。

    This bus center is situated on the coast on the eastern side of the Tomonoura area. Since it opened in 2005, it has served a variety of functions as a base for sightseeing in Tomonoura right in front of the Tomonoura bus stop. Facilities include a parking area for large busses, a souvenir and gift shop, and a cafe terrace. Tomonoura croquettes and octopus balls, famous local treats, are sold in the eat-in area. The souvenir shop carries an abundant selection of items, including chikuwa fish paste tube cakes made by Uohisa, a longstanding company established in 1897; and Onomichi ramen made by Amochinmi.

    福山から鞆の浦までバスで来ます。 ほんとこのバスにはお世話になってます。福山からだと終点の鞆港で降りる人もいますがここで下車して歩くのがおすすめです。

    This is the tourist information center at JR Onomichi Station. Information on Onomichi and Shimanami Sea Route is given to tourists in both Japanese and English. It is useful to visit the information center before visiting Onomichi having a vast range of pamphlets and coupons. It also has a bicycle air pump and can be used as a base for cyclers. Coin lockers and free Wifi is available as well.

    This tourist information center in Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture is located in the Mitarai district amongst buildings that were built from the Meiji Period to the early Showa Period. Along with the office for the tourism bureau, there are souvenirs for purchase as well as a rest area, making this a great first stop for tourists. Stop by the reception desk for sightseeing ideas and pamphlets.

    小規模ながら、ドリンク、座るところ、お手洗い、観光のパンフレットと揃うものが揃っている休憩所です。“観光案内所”と違うのはドリンクとお手洗いでしょうか。これが観光の拠点にあるのはうれしいです。

    The TIC agent was very helpful with information for our visit to Buttsu-ji by local bus. We were showed where to catch the bus and given information on the timings.

    竹原駅前に立つ観光案内所でした。アニメキャラ「アニメたまゆらの舞台」を前面に出して外観も特徴的ではありましたが、まるで交番の跡地でも利用したような建物でやや近寄り難いものがありました。猶、観光客自体が疎らな状態でもあり案内所利用者も僅かなようでした。因みにレンタサイクル貸出もOKとなっていました。

    「道の駅さんわ182ステーション」の一角にオフィスがありました。正面入口には「観光案内所」の看板も架かっていた為、中に入ってみたところ近隣のパンフレット類が揃っており、フリースペース状にテーブルと椅子も配されていました。但し、係員は見当たらず、聞きたい事があれば呼び出す必要がありそうでした。

There is more than meets the eye awaiting any Hiroshima-bound traveler. Kicking off in Hiroshima city, the Peace Memorial Park, Hiroshima Castle, and Shukkeien Garden offer a couple of days of exploring; however, the real beauty lies along the southern coast of the prefecture. There, a series of islands spreads across the Seto Inland Sea: from the mysterious sea-submerged Great Torii Gate at Miyajima Island to the first half of the islands that connect Honshu to Shikoku via six spectacular suspension bridges.
