    This visitor center introduces the wonders of the Shimabara Peninsula to visitors, with a focus on Unzen, home of Japan’s first official national park. Located in Unzen City, Nagasaki Prefecture, the center contains exhibits that highlight the area’s unique topography due to frequent volcanic activity, as well as the fascinating plant life, seasonal scenery, the link between the volcano and hot springs, the history and culture of the region, and more. There’s also a section that provides information about the natural environment, which is sure to come in handy for those exploring the area. There’s a free rest area, and drinks are available as well.

    国道を挟んで本館と別館が建っています。新湯共同浴場前に駐車したので、本館には行かず別館で雲仙地獄の案内図をいただきました。館内は広い休憩スペースになっており、自販機やトイレなどがありました。

    "This tourist information center located along Prefectural Road 24 is located in Imayashiki, Izuhara-machi, Tsushima City. It has an exhibition facility about the history and nature of Tsushima, shop for special products such as processed marine goods from Tsushima, and multipurpose plaza. Tsushima boasts the nation's largest catch of conger eel, and the restaurant offers menu items using ingredients from Tsushima including ""anago katsu teishoku"" using the boiled conger eel, and Tsushima's traditional ""Taishu soba."""

    ２０１５年オープンの対馬の総合的な観光案内所のような施設。案内所や土産物販売コーナーだけではなく、簡単な対馬の歴史や名所の説明などの展示があるコーナーも。金田城の城跡を示すジオラマも。気が付かなかったがレンタサイクルなども置いてあるとか。

    A tourist information center located in Shin-machi, Shimabara City. Serving as a base for sightseeing activities in the city, the center provides tourism information and also displays Shimabara Special Quality-certified local specialty products. Visitors can come here to take a break and watch colorful koi carp swimming in a pond filled with Shimabara spring water.

    島原は、雲仙からの湧水があちらこちらで噴出している、水の都的な町です。島原城を観光した後、数百ｍほど南側にある町は、「鯉の泳ぐまち」として人気のスポットです。そこに、観光交流センター清流亭がありました。 名水百選のまち「島原」の湧水群等の案内所的な施設のようで、観光案内や地元物産の紹介をしていました。建物の前庭には池があって、きれいな水が湧き出していました。

    This tourism facility also has a large observatory commanding a view of Tachibana Bay, which has even been selected for inclusion in the Japanese 100 Best Scenery list. The facility sells Nagasaki's famous castella cakes and other souvenirs, as well as a wide range of other items, up to and including crafts from across the Kyushu region. There's also a stand which sells the facility's own original and signature Jaga-chan deep-fried potato balls. Meanwhile, a large cafeteria occupying the first and second floors serves a large selection of local dishes such as Nagasaki chanpon and sara udon noodles. This cafeteria has a lot of seating and, with a reservation made at least one day in advance, can even accommodate large tour groups. In the summer, the facility holds a special summer festival as well as nagashi-somen noodle slide events.

    最近、観光案内所ではレンタサイクルなどを置いているところが多くなりました。観光客は市内観光するにも交通に何かと不便が有りますし、観光エリアも広がります。佐世保くらい大きな町では有ると便利ですね。

    高速船を降りたところにありました。パンフレットが置いてあるなど一般的な案内所のようでした。前（隣？）の庭には、古墳とその横穴の石室が再現されていました。

    美味しいお店や限られた時間で行ける場所など丁寧に教えてくれました。バスの1日券1000円はここで購入可能。厳原まで普通運賃で3000円近くするので、1日券ほうがお得！1日券の情報を教えてくれたここ窓口の方には感謝感謝でした。

    小浜の海岸国道通りに沿い 観光案内所というが、趣の異なる建物。 観光地は、まずどこでも観光案内所を 尋ねて損はない。 小さな町の小さな観光案内所ではあるが、ここでしか手に入らないであろう 温泉マップ、観光マップを もらい、夕日の見える立ち寄り湯や共同温泉、 お土産所、お得な食堂など丁寧に 教えてもらった。

    大村市の特産品が揃います。カフェや食べ歩き出来そうないなほ焼きを販売するお店も入っていますが、外観が古すぎます。新幹線が通る予定なので、もう少し気を遣ってくれたらと感じます。

This hidden corner of the country is rural Japan at its best, where underground activity is to thank for active volcanoes and bubbling natural hot springs along the Shimabara Peninsula as well as the crystal clear waters of the Goto Islands off the west coast. Less well known than Hiroshima’s Peace Memorial Park, Nagasaki commemorates its own past at the Nagasaki Peace Park, which sits alongside the charming Meganebashi stone bridge and a mix of religious buildings with beautiful architecture, such as the Zen Buddhist Sofukuji Temple, the Confucian Shrine, and the Oura Christian Church.
