    This tourist information center located in Nasushiobara City, Tochigi Prefecture provides explanations and guidance for the nature and promenade in Shiobara, and operates various walking plans. For example, it coordinates nature walking plans corresponding to the season and members, hikes with park conductors and nature learning activities. In addition, the visitor center has a rest corner where you can rest yourself after walking.

    七ツ岩吊橋を見学に行った時、こちらビジターセンターの駐車場に車を停めました。本来はトレッキングされる方が利用されているようです。 私は正午あたりにビジターセンターに到着しました。全部で30台ほど駐車できそうでしたが紅葉シーズンのため満車でした。10分ほど待ってやっと駐車スペースが出来ました。朝早めに駐車したほうが良さそうです。

    This tourist information center provides information on sightseeing in Nikko. The first floor features an information center with more than one English speaking staff for foreign visitors as well as a wide array of sightseeing pamphlets. The second floor features a showcase of the traditional handicrafts and special products of the region. Visitors can even watch local specialties such as yuba (tofu skins) and Nikko woodcarving being made.

    To the east of Hananosuisho Lake, Shibazakura Park, is one of the best-known sites for the scale of moss phlox in Japan. The 80,000-square-meter park has about 200,000 red, pink, purple, and white moss phlox plants. The roughly 2.4-hectare field of flowers is one of the largest on Japan's main island of Honshu. Every year from mid-April to early May, you can enjoy a patchwork of moss phlox in four different colors. Shibazakura Koryu Center is located in the park and has a farm stand selling local vegetables and a restaurant serving handmade soba noodles.

Most visits to Tochigi revolve around Nikko, a small city home to the spectacular, lavishly decorated Toshogu Shrine and Nikko National Park with its mountains, lakes, waterfalls, onsen, and wild monkeys.
