    Wakayama Shingu-shi Jofuku 1-4-24
This park located a two-minute walk from JR Shingu Station. The park is dedicated to the Chinese alchemist and explorer Xu Fu, known in Japan as Jofuku. It is said that he came to Japan over 2,200 years ago in search of the elixir of life on the order of China's first emperor Qin Shi Huang. The park features a particularly vivid Chinese-style tower gate, a stone memorial to Xu Fu, and seven stone monuments to his seven chief vassals. The park's shop sells a number of Xu Fu-themed merchandise including Jofuku-no-Yu bath additive and Jofukucha. Jofukucha is a blend of Kumano green tea and Japanese evergreen spicebush, which is said to have been discovered by Xu Fu on his search for the elixir of life. The park also offers bicycle and Chinese dress rentals.
