    Kochi Agawa-gun Inocho 4010
A Japanese paper accessory specialty shop in Ino-cho, the birthplace of Tosa washi paper. They sell colorfully dyed, locally produced washi paper—in particular Tosa washi—as well as various paper goods. Ino-cho has been making Japanese paper since olden times and has gained a lot of attention for the spectacular “Niyodo Blue” of the Niyodo River that flows there. Tosa washi paper is made with the river's pure water, and it's considered one of Japan's top three traditional paper varieties. The first floor of the store sells a variety of goods such as stationery, envelopes, curtains, and handmade signs. On the second floor, you can find Japanese paper scraps and bargain items, and searching through the mountain of paper for something that catches your eye is fun.

Kochi Areas

around-area-map

The largest of Shikoku’s prefectures, Kochi is endowed with some of the island’s most exceptional sand beaches lining the Pacific Ocean, which narrows into the Shimanto-gawa, a huge river that stretches 196 kilometers into the prefecture, passing verdant mountains and hosting countless riverside activities. Whether you’re a pilgrim or not, Kochi’s 16 Buddhist temples that make up one leg of the Shikoku Pilgrimage are worth a visit, particularly Chikurin-ji for its five-tier pagoda.
