    This gardening center surrounded by a coppice has something for gardeners of all skill and experience levels to enjoy. It carries a selection of more than 2,000 items all year long including rose seedlings, perennials, annuals, herbs, clematis, and other plants, as well as gardening supplies and household goods. There is also a cafe that serves lunches and sweets made with local ingredients.

    実はそんなに期待していなかったのだが、結構見応えのある庭園。 バラも勿論素晴らしかった。が、私は可愛い橋のある大きな池が気に入った。造り自体は似てはいない池だが、モネを想える水面はずっと眺めていられるほど美しかった。

    This tourist painting shop is located in Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture. The shop demonstrates and sells ippitsuryu paintings. Ippitsuryu is a style of painting in which a dragon is drawn with a single brush stroke. The works on display in the shop are also available for purchase. Beloved as a lucky charm, many people purchase ippitsuryu paintings as presents for important events. The shop is visited by tourists from Japan and around the world.

    I dropped in to look at the artists work, and to watch him at work. His dragon paintings are quite beautiful. They can be custom made to have a special kanji symbol as well as colours and size...

    This moss- and plant-themed interior decorations shop stands amidst the forest of Nasu Highland. Operating out of a log house-style establishment on the side of the Nasu Greenline, the shop sells miniature bonsai trees, decorative moss balls, moss terrariums, and other bonsai-themed decorations. Inside, customers can make a mini bonsai or moss ball of their very own perfect for decorating a table or shelf at home. Bonsai and moss ball making takes around one hour. Everyone, including absolute beginners and children, can have fun participating in creative activities here such as making a moss terrarium or planting attractive succulent plants together to make a mini garden.

Most visits to Tochigi revolve around Nikko, a small city home to the spectacular, lavishly decorated Toshogu Shrine and Nikko National Park with its mountains, lakes, waterfalls, onsen, and wild monkeys.
