This park is a famous cherry blossom viewing spot along the banks of the Okawa River. The riverside park runs from the Owaka River's Kemaaraizeki to the downstream Tenma Bridge and has water, greenery and cherry trees. There are approx. 4,800 cherry trees that line the 4.2 kilometers of the park, and it becomes a spectacular spot to view cherry blossoms bustling with many people when they are in bloom. Along the park, besides Japan's first gas lamps and retro brick buildings such as one that houses a mint, there is also a water plaza and promenade, making it an ideal place for relaxing strolls. In addition, the park has barrier-free access.

While Osaka prefecture is the country's second smallest prefecture, its capital, Osaka City, is the country’s third-largest and arguably one of the most popular in the Kansai region thanks to its vibrant nightlife, the Osaka people’s openness, and its much-loved cuisine, which has earned it the nickname "the nation’s kitchen."
