    This 203-meter high observatory is located in the southern part of the Shima Peninsula. It is situated on the ria coastline of Ago Bay. There are about 60 small islands in the bay, and the observatory gives you a commanding view of their beauty. It offers three decks that give you a view in all directions of the Shima area. Halfway up Yokoyama to the observatory is the Sozo-no-Mori Yokoyama rest house. There is a promenade leading to the observatory that takes 30 minutes. The area is also famous as a cherry blossom viewing spot, with the “Yokoyama Sakura Festival” held in the early spring.

    A roadside station located a 30 minute drive from the Isenishi Interchange on the Ise Expressway. The station provides tourism information using Internet-connected facilities, provides information on traffic conditions, and distributes area tourism pamphlets. The station's local specialty products shop sells aosa nori sea lettuce, Ise spiny lobster, and other Iseshima regional seafood products. The station's restaurant serves soft serve ice cream made with shinju shio pearl salt; seafood rice bowls and sashimi set meals made with fresh, seasonal fish; and grilled shellfish.

    The Kashikojima Espana Cruise is an approximately 50-minute sightseeing cruise of Ago Bay and while the beauty of the jagged coastline is certainly a highlight, the real drawcard is watching a demonstration of preparing cultured pearls. The actual preparation work takes place every year from May to June, but one can watch the pearl model workshop on the cruise throughout the year. It is approximately three minutes on foot from Kashikojima Station on the Kintetsu Shima Line.

    This pearl farm is located in the birthplace of pearls, Ise Shima. It is operated by Yamamoto Suisan Co., Ltd., which has been in business for 60 years in Ago Bay. You can experience removing pearls by taking them out of pearl oysters, and then take them home as they are or make original accessories. In addition, it is possible to fry and barbecue the fresh ingredients right away from a pleasure boat that floats on the ocean, or enjoy all-you-can-eat oysters limited to one group per day on that the same pleasure boat from January to May.

    Umi Hozuki is a tourist facility operated by the town of Hamajima in Shima City, Mie Prefecture, where visitors can have a go at beach combing and experience the life, culture and fishing industry of this fishing community.     This shrine, which enshrines the soul of the sun goddess Amaterasu, has drawn worshippers as a remote shrine since long ago where local residents pray for rich bounties from the sea and mountains. “Isobe no Omita,” the rice planting ceremony held every June, is a designated National Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property and is one of Japan’s three largest rice planting festivals.     A lighthouse was first erected here in 1681 by the Edo shogunate government to guide ships. Most Japanese lighthouses are round, but the Anorisaki Lighthouse is square, the 20th such constructed in Japan. The lovely white structure has been selected as one of the top 50 lighthouses in Japan and in 2013 it was designated a Tangible Cultural Property.

    This statue of the god Ebisu is located on the grounds of Ebisu Shrine in Hamajima, Hamajima-cho, Shima City. Depicted seated on a rock with a great smile, among local fishermen it is said that cutting off the statue's nose and carrying it as an amulet will bring one luck in arriving early at fishing grounds. A Shinto ritual is held in front of the statue during New Year's each year in which participants laugh for the first time in the new year.

    宿の観光案内サービスで連れていって貰いました。ふくよかでおおらかな恵比寿様の鼻は欠けていましたが、お祭りの時は修復されるそうです。参拝者はご利益があると石で欠いて持ち帰るそうです。恵比寿像の前からの風景が綺麗でした。

    This souvenir shop is just a little way off of Route 167 in Shima City, Mie Prefecture. They offer an enormous variety of specialty items including Ise tea, Matsusaka beef, Ise shrimp crackers, pearl oyster crackers boxed as souvenirs, Jingu-no-Kakehashi cheese cake sticks made with Ise tea, and natural seaweed from Iseshima including hijiki, wakame, and mekabu. You can also try soft-serve ice cream made with green algae, freshly fried tempura, Maruten isoage (fried seafood cake skewers), and more.

    伊勢志摩旅行の際にランチで立ち寄りました。その日のオススメだったマグロ丼をいただきました。肉厚でプリプリ感もありとても美味しかったです!あおさのお味噌汁も良い出汁が出で美味しかったです。屋台ではウツボの素揚げやあおさソフトクリームなども堪能しました。充実したランチタイムを過ごすことができました。また行きたいです‼︎!

    This observation deck is located an approximately 55-minute drive from Ise Nishi Interchange via Ise Road, in Tomoyama Park on the east side of Ago Bay. The view of Ago Bay dyed by the sunset is beautiful, making this enchanting place one of the best spots to visit in Ise Shima. Many professional and amateur photographers visit from both within the prefecture and from far afield. The views of the sky at dusk and the sunset are well-recommended, as is the later opportunity to view the stars. Once the sun goes down, visitors who stay a little longer will see the starry sky appear above them. The observation deck is accessible by car, so people who can't walk far can also enjoy it.

It is recommended to enjoy an elegant and comfortable 50-minute cruise on the Esperanza, a cruise ship with a pirate ship motif. It stops at a cultured pearl factory midway, and you can purchase pearls and watch as they place pearl nuclei into pearl oysters. In Shima Marine Land, an aquarium made in the image of ancient ammonites, the large sunfish, penguin petting and red garra (doctor fish) are popular.

    "Ago-wan is a famous bay located on a ria coast with many inlets, in the southern part of the Shima Peninsula in Shima City, Mie Prefecture. Local specialty seafood products include the delicacy called Miru (seaweed), Asari short-necked clam and Iwagaki oyster. There is also a thriving pearl cultivation industry, using the Akoya pearl oyster; during the early years of the Showa period (1926-1989) when cultured pearl techniques were adopted here, this area became known as ""Pearl Bay."" Many islands can be seen in Ago Bay, including Kashiko Island, which was the venue for the 42nd G7 Summit (the ""Ise-Shima Summit"") in 2016. From the observation platforms on Mt. Tomoyama and Mt. Yokoyama, visitors can enjoy some really photogenic scenery."

    “Bindama” are glass floats which were once commonly used for fishing. This one kilometer long walkway along the seashore is lined with lovely glass floats. After sunset, the floats are lit up, and the path is illuminated by the gentle lights of the floats. Bindama Road is located near the Hamajima ryokan inn district, and at night many visitors come to walk the path carrying paper lanterns borrowed from the ryokan they are staying at.

    With its white-walled exterior, Mugisaki Lighthouse watches over the boats navigating the Fuseda waterway, and is well known as a place where one can hear the sound of the ama (female diver) sea whistles during the dive season, having been selected as one of Japan’s 100 Scenic Sound Spots. Located on the very southern tip of Shima Town, Shima City, to the east is Nakiri Lighthouse, while to the west one can see Fuseda Kojima Island and Wagu Oshima Island.

Spread across the eastern side of the Kii Peninsula, Mie prefecture boasts hundreds of kilometers of pretty coastline comprising the oyster-rich Toba city and Shima National Park all the way down to Kumano, a city that marks the beginning of part of the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage, which runs into neighboring Wakayama prefecture. However, Mie is best known for the Ise Jingu Shinto shrine inland, one of the oldest and largest shrines in the country.
