    Tokuzomaru, located in the town of Higashi Izu in Kamo County, Shizuoka Prefecture, is housed in a building with lattice-style walls overlooking Inatori Harbor, and it serves “fishermen’s cuisine.” The first floor is a retail outlet, Tokuzomaru Suisan, which sells fresh fish and seafood, and the second floor is a restaurant. Its popular Alfonsino All Ways Meal contains high-quality alfonsino caught in the ocean off Inatori and served four ways: as sashimi, simmered in broth, smoked, and in a made-at-the-table shabu-shabu stew. It also serves a wide variety of prix fixe meals and multi-course meals based on local Izu fish and prawns, abalone, turbo, and other seafood. This famous restaurant has been featured on television and in magazines many times.

    This is a restaurant where you can taste fisherman’s meals and Izu Kogen beer produced with the clear and clean waters from the Mt. Amagi group. In front of the terrace seats, there is a yacht harbor with the smell of salt air—you can enjoy your meal while watching the sea. It’s also OK to have your pets on the terrace. In addition to the “Kaisen-don” (seafood bowl) served at this restaurant which includes plenty of fish bought fresh that morning, there are also plenty of Italian dishes such as “Japanese blue crab pasta” which is made using ingredients from Izu and stone grilled pizza.

    海鮮ものはもちろん、洋食メニューもあって、子供連れにはありがたいレストランです。テラス席もあって、なかなかいい雰囲気のお店です。生ビールものめますが、ドライブスポットなので…飲んでいる人は少なかったです。

    Page One is an Italian restaurant and variety store located along the famous sightseeing spot Perry Road in the city of Shimoda in Shizuoka Prefecture. The stone building is a remodeled and repurposed medical clinic. The owner of Page One insists on using only the finest ingredients: local ingredients, pancetta made in-house, mozzarella produced in Italy. This quiet, understated restaurant allows guests to taste genuine Italian cuisine. One of the most popular dishes is Blue Crab Pasta with Creamy Tomato Sauce. Tables are set up on the bridge in front of the restaurant, so that diners can watch the river flow as they enjoy their meal.

    Shuzenji no Yoshoku-ya is a restaurant that serves Western food and is located near the entrance to the Shuzenji hot spring area in the city of Izu, Shizuoka Prefecture. With low tables, a sunken floor under the tables, and seating cushions, the restaurant has a Japanese ambience and an attractive retro feeling reminiscent of the mid-twentieth century. The chef, trained and experienced in the kitchens of Tokyo hotels, cooks up old-style Japanese Western food, such as Hash Rice and Pork Stew. Apple tarts, made with thickly cut apples, are another favorite. At night, the restaurant offers a full range of alcoholic beverages.

    地元民です。お店の人は感じがいい。何を食べても外さない。子連れの場合、夜は予約が確実です。(子供は待てないから…) アップルタルトがすごく美味しいですが、夜はやい時間には無くなりますので、アップルタルトを目当てで行くなら、ランチタイムを狙った方が確実。

    いつも混んでいるので、食べたい料理にありつくまで列をなさないといけなくて、時間がかかります。特に肉料理。この時は寿司を目指して行ったら、まぐろやえびなどは一切なく、白身の地味な魚だけでした。あとうどんとかは空いています。ビールは４種類くらい飲み放題でとても良いです。

    "This cafe and restaurant is about a 10-minute walk from Izukyu-Shimoda Station on the Izu Kyuko Line. It is located inside of a kominkan (old house) with namako walls built on the site of the government provisioning shop (trading post) where foreign sailors purchased provisions for their ships in the years after the opening of port of Shimoda. The shop, which features retro decorations when the port was opened, including rebar chairs and lighting fixtures styled after ship lamps, has a relaxed atmosphere. Their most popular item is their hamburger steak sets, which come smothered with a specially-made demiglace sauce. Their cooked-to-perfection ""service steaks"" come recommended, as do their pumpkin cakes and other sweets."

    About 10 minutes by car from Izukyu Shimoda Station, this café and restaurant offers a relaxing meal or coffee while enjoying the view of Kisami-Ohama Beach spread out before your eyes. In particular, the beef curry, which is a staple of the menu and simmered slowly for a week, is popular for its deep flavor, and the omelette rice with demi-glace sauce is said to draw customers who travel from far away.

    A western-style restaurant that opened in 1975. Situated in a lush verdant residential area here you can enjoy authentic French and other western-style cuisine. The shop wrapped in the warmth of wood has an elegant appearance which brings to mind the southern French provinces. Their signature dish beef stew is made using the best quality domestic Japanese Beef from Omaezaki self-chosen by the chef, slow cooked in a red wine. It's a splendid dish with a rich and slightly acidic taste with the tender meat falling apart the moment it hits your tongue. Their choux creams, filled generously with a custard that's rich but not heavy, have also well earned their popularity.

    シュークリームは、皮はフニャっとして柔らかく、しんなりしていました。頬張ると中からトロットロのクリームがあふれ、美味しい。しっかり甘いのに、不思議と重くない、あっさりとはいいすぎですが、軽めの口当たりです。やわらかい皮によくクリームが絡むのも新食感でした。

    肉を食べたとの満足感が良くて、定期的に食べたくなりますね。 いつも250gのげんこつハンバーグをオニオンソースで頼み、ソースはかけてもらわずに、ハンバーグは下味のついたそのままで、ソースは野菜にかけて頂きます。 今日の店員さんは少し肉を焼き過ぎでした。あまり鉄板に押し付けないでもっと生焼けが好みだけど、まあそんな日もあります。

    自分では行けないのですが、友人のご家族にお誘い頂いてランチをいただきました。アラカルトを店主さんにお願いして出して頂く形で、飲み物は赤ワインをいただきました。お料理は全て繊細でおいしく、満足のいくものでした。くいしんぼライスが美味しいかったですね。
