The traditional techniques involved in Seki cutlery have been handed down from generation to generation since the end of the Kamakura period 800 years ago. The export value of Seki's cutlery is almost 50% of Japan's entire share, and Seki cutlery is renowned in North America and around the world. This store carries around 2,500 pieces of the finest Seki cutlery, and here you can purchase high quality kitchen knives, pocket and utility knives, scissors, razors, and more.

    Gujo Hachiman Beer Kobokobo is an artisan beer brewery made with the famous local water. Its sales outlet is located inside ofGenrinMachiyaBuilding, a traditional machiya house, built more than 80 years ago, that once housed an apothecary. Because of a microbrewery, the amounts available at any one time are limited, but many varieties are available, including pale ale and cream ale. The smallgarden of the house functions as a food court, where customers can buy food at the counters and sit wherever they like to enjoy their beer. The machiyaBuilding also houses Spain Bar and other businesses, and customers may buy the food to accompany their beer at one of these other places.
