The traditional techniques involved in Seki cutlery have been handed down from generation to generation since the end of the Kamakura period 800 years ago. The export value of Seki's cutlery is almost 50% of Japan's entire share, and Seki cutlery is renowned in North America and around the world. This store carries around 2,500 pieces of the finest Seki cutlery, and here you can purchase high quality kitchen knives, pocket and utility knives, scissors, razors, and more.

関市の交流施設せきてらすの中にあり、刃物の展示・販売がされています。独ゾーリンゲン、英シェフィールドと並ぶ世界三大刃物産地の一つの関市の施設とあって包丁やナイフから爪切りまで様々な刃物が並んでいてみて回るだけでも面白いです。刃物を無料で研いでもらえるイベントには多くの方が集まっていました。近くの鍛治伝承館と併せて訪れると良いと思います。

伝承館とフェザーミュージアムを見学後、記念に刃物を購入でもしようかとこの会館に行きました。刃物では堺で、陶磁器では瀬戸で同じような施設を行って購入してきましたが、ここはその気にもなりませんでした。建物が古いのはわかりますが、商品陳列もただ並べているだけで、工夫が見られません。2Fは電灯もついていなく、倉庫のようでいっそうクローズにすべきです。又係員の人も仲間と雑談をしており見苦しい限りです。

ここでは関の包丁やキッチングッズが売っています。特に包丁は通常より2割から3割安く購入できるようです。包丁について全然知りませんでしたが、ここで三徳、牛刀、ペティなどの種類を知る事が出来勉強になりました！
