    This is a restaurant on the second floor of the “Omi-machi Ichiban-kan” complex at the “Omi-machi Market,” a famous sightseeing spot in Kanazawa. The owner, who was chosen as “Ishikawa Prefecture Craftsman,” has confidence in the freshness and taste of the seasonal seafood he carefully selects. Prefecture grown produce such as Kaga and Noto vegetables are used abundantly and Kaga cuisine, delicious in taste and beautiful to look at, is also offered. In the evening visitors can enjoy local sake with course meals or a la carte crab and nodoguro, and amberjack dishes. Lunch is popular serving luxurious seafood, and sea urchin soy sauce, and three flavors of soup poured on rice “Seafood Hitsumabushi.” The nearest is station is Kanazawa Station.

    Ichiba Meshi Amatsubo is a Japanese-style restaurant located near the M’za exit of the Omicho Marketplace in the city of Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, a two-story, traditional Kanazawa machiya (townhouse) with an attractively peaceful atmosphere. It serves creative traditional Japanese cuisine made with fresh seafood purchased at the market and local Kaga vegetables. Its most famous dish is Kanazawa Oden, a stew that is served at both lunch and dinner. Other popular dishes include the local country-style dish Duck Jibuni Stew and Kaga Lotus Root Dumplings made with local vegetables. The restaurant also carries a full line of local saké from the Hokuriku region and attracts large numbers of both local people and tourists.
