- The “Onshi Hakone Koen Park” was established and is maintained on the land where the Hakone Imperial Villa once stood. It is a public park with wonderful scenery which faces Mt. Fuji and overlook Lake Ashi. You can enjoy the feelings of each season, especially with the brightly colored Rhododendrons in May and in summer the Golden-rayed Lilies are exceptional. In 2013 it was selected as a Registered Monuments of Japan.

- Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park

- Shizuoka prefecture, Yamanashi prefecture, Kanagawa prefecture, Tokyo
- It is the nation’s representative national park that consists of Japan’s highest, most symbolic mountain Mt. Fuji, the Fuji volcanic belt, and the Izu Islands, and boasts the largest number of visitors in the country. There are many sights such as Shiraito Falls selected as one of Japan’s top 100 waterfalls, Mt. Kintoki, the highest peak of the outer rim in Hakone, and the charm of Izu Peninsula including a varied coastline and beautiful ocean. The area around Mt. Fuji and Fuji Five Lakes is also a popular spot for photos, and many photographers visit in the cherry blossom season and on New Year’s Day. They also visit at the time of “Diamond Fuji,” the magnificent scenery seen only twice a year, when you can see the sun rise and the sunset over the peak of Mt. Fuji.

- Ashigara Manyo Park
- Leisure / Hobbies
- Kanagawa Pref. Minamiashigarashi Yagurasawa
- This park is along Ashigara Highway in Yagurasawa, Minamiashigara City. Ashigara Pass used to be a key station for transportation linking the eastern and western country, and the “Manyoshu” contains a number of poems written by guards passing to western Japan about this area. Inside the park, you can get a view looking over Ashigara Plains and Sagami Bay, find inscriptions of “Manyoshu” songs related to Ashigara, see plants mentioned in those songs cultivated here, and enjoy coming into contact with Ashigara history, nature, and culture.

- Kanagawa Pref. Minamiashigarashi Hiromachi 1544
- A lush forest park located in Minamiashigara City, Kanagawa Prefecture. The Parcabout sports complex, located inside the park, is Japan's first play park where kids can climb around in a giant net playground suspended in the middle of a forest. The park also has mini trekking and walking courses-the whole family can spend an entire day here having fun. In addition, there's a campground with rental equipment and you can barbecue here with no need to prep either.

Kanagawa Areas
Kanagawa prefecture acts as an extension of the Tokyo metropolis that spills over into coastal towns, most notably Yokohama city, heavily populated and known for its Chinatown and seaside attractions. Just the right distance for a day trip out of Tokyo, Kanagawa is home to some of Tokyo’s most accessible beaches, including around Kamakura, best known for its Big Buddha. Visitors can also travel a little farther afield for a weekend at Hakone onsen town.
