- Tokyo Machida-shi Nogaya 7-3-2
- "The former residence of Jiro Shirasu and his wife, Masako. Shirasu played an important role in post-World War II diplomacy in Japan. On a hill in verdant Tsurukawa, it has a museum, restaurant, and cafe on site. Once known as ""the coolest man in Japan,"" he studied English at Cambridge University, and was said to have argued with GHQ (General Headquarters of the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers), even standing up to MacArthur. Although women had been barred from performing traditional Noh theater, she appeared on stage and was so successful she even had a stage name. The facility is replete with reminders of the couple, and you can even enjoy Western-style fare that faithfully recreates their meals."

こじんまりした科学館です。 入館料が安く、幼児から小学生のお子さん向けです。 プラネタリウムもあり、アニメとコラボした作品が観れるので、子供が星に興味を持つきっかけになると思います。

- Tokyo Machida-shi Nozutamachi 2288
- A museum established to pass on Machida's farming traditions to the next generation and deepen its understanding of agriculture. It has exhibits in three buildings: The Panel Hall with photographs and panel displays on agricultural themes, the Fureai Hall with tools used in daily life, and the Experiential Learning Hall. Once a month, this hall offers a workshop making oil from rapeseed harvested in the Nanakuniyama area. It also sells rapeseed oil and buckwheat harvested in the district. The Botanen peony garden across the road has 1,700 peonies of about 330 varieties. Many people visit this and the gallery as a pair.

Tokyo Areas
The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction. It’s hard for the kaleidoscopic neon lights, wacky pop culture, and some of the world’s tallest structures not to instill excitement in any first-time visitor to Tokyo, whether you’re in the very center of the hustle and bustle in Shinjuku or Shibuya or looking in from the quieter suburbs.
