  • Kiraku ramen shop
    Gourmet / Alcohol
    Tokyo Shibuya-ku Dogenzaka 2-17-6
"Kiraku, a ramen restaurant located on Shibuya's Hyakkenten Street, has been in business at the same location for 70 years since its establishment in 1952 (Showa 27). Although it is a small store, its longevity is a testament to the authenticity of its flavor. The popular menu item, ""Chinese noodles,"" has an orthodox soy sauce flavor and is characterized by a light taste that differs from the rich ramen of recent years. Other popular dishes include chashu pork noodle, wonton noodle, fried rice, and Chinese rice bowl."

In addition to fluffy and sweet pancakes made with fresh fruit and cream, the shop also has a full menu of savory pancakes which make a perfect lunch. The macadamia nut pancakes are particularly popular.

This is a famous shop for Naples-style pizza located in the Aobadai district of Tokyo's Meguro City. Pizza shokunin Hisanori Yamamoto, who trained at a well-known store in Naples and won the World Pizza Championships twice consecutively, opened this restaurant in 2010. The shop features a space ambience thanks to its open terrace, and is almost like a real pizzeria in the downtown area of Naples. All of the pizzas baked in the large stone oven are exquisite, and popular items on the menu include the margherita pizza with the melted mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce. It is a popular restaurant that invariably has a queue outside on holidays.

If you want to get the real Italian pizza experience go to Isa. Amazing pizza, fresh ingredients, simply perfect.

"This well-known soba shop has a showcase menu item called ""Sudachi Soba,"" which features a refreshingly acidic taste that keeps customers coming back for more. Buckwheat starts to go stale the instant it is ground up, so they make sure to get their soba noodles shipped in directly from farmers and grind it fresh each day. They use three different types of grind settings for this: finely ground, coarsely ground, and thick cut. This tucked away soba restaurant has a modern, stylish interior that stands out from most places of its kind. They also feature a large selection of a la carte dishes based on traditional Japanese-style cooking, as well as an assortment of Japanese sake to choose from since many guests love to come in to dine over a relaxing drink."

We waited around 45 minutes for our turn during lunchtime, but there were half a dozen chairs at the bar table unoccupied. Perhaps the restaurant was short of staff or it was a deliberate policy to...

A dining bar in Shibuya. The open and playfully decorated restaurant is entirely non-smoking, a rarity in Shibuya. Moja in the House has numerous sofa booths able to seat six to eight people, and these comfortable, semi-private spaces are perfect for taking a break or a girls' night out. The restaurant's menu consists of American soul food favorites and original dishes. Moja in the House' signature dish is its chicken and waffles-crunchy, juicy fried chicken served over crispy, toasty waffles. Top it off with a heaping helping of maple syrup and enjoy! The Guinguette by Moja, the restaurant's sister establishment, is located on floor B1 of the same building.

Had the best chicken and waffles in my whole 3 years stay in Japan. The chicken was tender and juicy and the waffle was crunchy and soft at the same time. HOWW??
