    This day use hot spring facility is in Nishimurayama County, Yamagata Prefecture. The large indoor baths, with enormous windows offering views of the garden, have equipment like high temperature and cold water baths, saunas, lie-down baths, and more. The water type is sodium chloride spring water, which is said to be effective in treating cuts, sensitivity to cold, recovery from fatigue, and more. The grounds also have a separate accommodation area, Hina-no-Yado, and many guests there use these baths.

    宿泊施設やレストランを併設した大規模な温泉施設です。浴槽が3種類あり、源泉掛け流しの浴槽は熱めの45度、大きな浴槽は適温の42度、寝湯はジェットバスになっています。お湯はうす茶色をしており、加水・加温・循環方式ですが、塩素臭は気になりませんでした。洗い場は広くてシャワー・カランには仕切りが付いており、サウナと水風呂もありました。

    This restaurant is in the Zao Ropeway Jizo Sancho Station building, on the Zao Ropeway line from Zao Onsen. You can enjoy the seasonal view of the mountains, green in spring and red in fall, over your meal. They offer dishes like Yakiniku-don grilled meat rice bowls made with Sangenton pork, and Imoni soba made with stewed taro root. You can see the snow covered trees in winter, and the shop offers extended hours during the period when they're lit up at night.

    店名からアルコールの出るお店かと思っていましたが、お食事中心のお店でした。店内は比較的広く、隣の席との間も広く、ゆったりと食事をすることができました。洋食をいただくことができましたが、オムライスがおすすめかなと思います。ソースを扱うのが上手なシェフかなと思います。

Although often overlooked, Yamagata prefecture by no means lacks appeal: the Yamadera temple trail through the mountains, deliciously tender Yonezawa wagyu, and over 100 steaming hot springs, most notably Zao Onsen, await visitors.
