There are also five areas in the hall to eat and visitors can buy their favorite seafood and create their own original Kaisendon (seafood and rice bowl), or have the seafood purchased cooked at BBQs available to be used freely. Miyagi Pref. Sendaishi Wakabayashi-ku Oroshimachi 5-2-6
This is a commercial facility in Wakabayashi Ward, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture. It has been opened as a “food kitchen” near Sendai City Central Wholesale Market. The inside of the store is bright and has a sophisticated atmosphere like a European market. There are 31 selective stores providing goods such as fresh fish from Sanriku and Matsushima, processed fish products, local agricultural produce, and other product goods and the center is crowded with many shoppers every day. Seasonal seafood direct from the production area is especially recommended. The center is perfect for lunch offering a seafood-on-rice bowl (kaisendon) with a large amount of fresh seafood and a restaurant where visitors can taste authentic Sendai beef tongue.

This large market is located about 12 minutes on foot from Ishinomaki Station on the JR Senseki Line. Every day they offer fresh Ishinomaki caught seafood on the first floor, and visitors love their fresh picked vegetables and just-baked bread. They also sell local specialties and unique items, letting guests shop to their hearts' content in the spacious, high ceilinged store. The second floor is a food court where you can dine on dishes that showcase Ishinomaki seafood like their Kinkazan Rice Bowl heaped with fresh local toppings and their Anago Tempura Rice Bowl topped with an enormous portion of conger eel, crispy on the outside and tender within.

The natural harbor in Onagawa a five minute walk from Onagawa Station on the JR Ishinomaki Line has been renowned since ancient times. Several boat lines connecting to outlying islands leave from here, including Ashi-jima Island, a breeding ground for black-tailed gulls and rhinoceros auklets designated a National Natural Monument; and Enoshima Island, the only inhabited island in the Enoshima Island Archipelago. A scheduled boat also visits Mt. Kinka, one of the Three Holy Sites of Oshu (Mutsu Province), every Sunday and on holidays. Mt. Kinka is a popular mystical power spot. The port boasts one of the greatest hauls of Pacific saury in the country and its waters are used to cultivate oysters and silver salmon.
