"The flagship location of Juchheim, a renowned confectionary shop which has been in business for over 100 years. The first-floor shop sells the company's confections for taking home and is also one of only a very few locations where you can directly purchase Juchheim's ""Meister handmade"" baumkuchen. In the tea salon on the second floor, customers can enjoy a confection or gelato along with a cup of black tea. The restaurant in the basement serves Kobe-style Western dishes and German wines."

Tea Room Mahisa, situated about three minutes on foot from Sannomiya Station, opened in 1987 as a tea shop. Their signature tea is the Mahisa-ryu (style), a milky tea made by adding milk to a strong tea brewed with plenty of tea leaves. Famed for its flavor direct from the tea plantations, and different to that of British tea, the tea shop uses tea leaves separately for its milk tea and straight tea. The scones and cakes which go well with the richly flavored tea are also popular. Inside, the tea shop is not overly bright and has a relaxed atmosphere.

A coffee shop on Kobe Motomachi Ichiban Shopping Street. Since its founding in 1960, it has been popular with a wide range of people across the age spectrum. Their ever-popular hot cakes made with house batter are slowly baked on a griddle until a mouthwatering golden brown. Served the old-fashioned way topped with butter and honey, they're carefully prepared one at a time when an order is placed. They go great with the smoothness of the shop's nel drip coffee. Stop in and you may lose track of time.
