    Mimiu is a Japanese cuisine restaurant that has inherited the traditions of restaurants in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture with a history going back 200 years. Mimiu's signature dish is udon suki (seafood and vegetable hotpot served with udon noodles) made using a special Kansai-style broth. To ensure that diners can enjoy the scent of freshly-sliced Sodabushi (dried Bullet Mackerel), every day just the amount of Sodabushi needed for that day is sliced up and delivered to each branch of the restaurant. Besides luxurious banquet-style dishes, Mimiu also offers a reasonably-priced lunch menu, including a Hina Suki set meal that combines Udon Suki with snacks. Mimiu (Shin-Osaka Branch) has a Draft Beer Set Meal not available at any other branch, which combines food options with draft beer.

It is based on the concept of “high-quality udon” and has earned popularity for its secret Kansai soup stock recipe and firm noodles prepared individually for each order. In addition to standards such as “kitsune no oudon” (udon with deep-fried tofu), there are also popular original creations such as the pasta-like “mentaiko no oudon” (udon with spicy cod roe). For large gatherings, they offer well-received udon banquet dishes and udon hot pot courses.

    Udonbo Osaka Main Store, located in the second below ground floor of Osaka Station 3 Building in Kita Ward, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, is a well-known sanuki udon noodle restaurant. The main restaurant is located in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. The chewy thin noodles using wheat developed especially for Sanuki udon noodles and carefully made stock with several ingredients such as bonito and sardines are the keys to the good taste. Chanpon (mixed) udon noodles full of ingredients is a specialty dish. Bukkake, hot noodles without topping which go down smoothly, is also popular. It is crowded with neighboring business people on weekdays and many couples and families visit on weekends.

    On the second basement floor of the “Osaka Station 2 Building” in Kita Ward, Osaka City is a restaurant specializing in Sanuki Udon (wheat noodles from Sanuki). The shop is famous and has long been loved since its establishment in 1979. The signature dish “Curry Udon” is a curry of spice and two types of soup stock coating thick smooth fully matured noodles and is a delicious dish. In summer “Hiya Bukkake” (a dish of cold noodles served with a cold dipping sauce) is also popular. The only seating in the shop is at a counter and the shop is crowded at lunch with office workers from nearby.

    マイタケ天が美味しい大阪駅第三ビルのうどん屋さん。店内にはマイタケの段ボールがたくさん置いてありました。夜の19時ごろ訪問しました。店内は4組ほど先客がいました。肉マイタケ天生醤油を注文。サクサクのマイタケ天に満足。うどんは可もなく不可もなくという感じでした。

For beverages, the restaurant has draft beer and umeshu plum liqueur as well as choice sakes which are highly popular. The restaurant is frequently filled to capacity but also accepts reservations.

    お昼の時間は、とにかく並ぶ人気のお店です。 予約はできない上に、なくなり次第終了なので、早めの入店が必要です。 夏はすっきりした「すだちそば」がおすすめ。 美味しいです。

    This udon noodle restaurant has gained a reputation as the place to go in Osaka for udon. Specializing in bukkake udon noodles which are covered in broth, the restaurant kicked off the Sanuki udon noodle boom in Osaka. Customers can choose the amount of udon noodles they want: 300 grams, 400 grams, or 800 grams. The Chikutamaten Bukkake is the most popular item on the menu and consists of udon noodles in broth topped with freshly fried chikuwa fish paste tube cake tempura, and soft boiled egg tempura. There are also many other items on the menu which you'll find no place else.

    飲食店の多い地下エリアですが、その一角にオープンしているのを知り夕食を摂りに訪問しました。郊外型の店舗と仕組みは同様でオーダーを終えた後に会計するセルフ店のシステムとなっていました。メニューは他の店舗と大差無い様で安定安心の代物でした。

    子供が結構騒ぐので、個室があるお店を探した所見つけました。 接客も必要以上に来ないので、コロナでも安心。 御料理もうどんの玉数が増やせるので「ちょっと足りない」と思った時の替え玉で 調整出来ました。 また行きます。

    夕霧そばが食べたくなり、飲んだ後入りました。飲んだ後でもニシンをつまんだり、てんぷらを加えたりとかなり食べました。そばはうまいですが、やはり高いですね。それでも夜は満席です。
