    Osaka Met. Suitashi Senri Banpaku Park 1-1 In the Banpaku Park
    This is a 70-meter tall work of art created by artist Taro Okamoto and is a symbol of the Japan Expo held in 1970 in Osaka’s Suita City. Even now it still remains in the Expo Commemoration Park which is a cultural park created on the site of the exposition grounds and serves as a popular photo spot. With a unique design that is modeled after a crow, the tower has three faces which represent the future, present and past. The inside is hollow and has a giant monument called the Tree of Life. Currently visitors are not permitted to tour the inside of the tower due to reconstruction work, but it is scheduled to reopen in March of 2018.

It is It is one of the largest hot springs in all Kansai, and visitors can relax in the natural spring water pumped up from 700 meters underground. It is a sodium chloride hot spring, which is effective for neuralgia, arthralgia, chronic gynecological diseases, chronic gastrointestinal disease, and the like. Its main feature is the open-air bath, which has five levels of depth. The bath is designed so that bathers can relieve not only the stress from their shoulders, but also enjoy footbath, bathe lying down, or half-submerged. The hot spring is also equipped with a wide variety of baths, including highly concentrated carbonate water and jet baths. There is also a salt sauna, and hot yoga classes are held periodically in the stone sauna.

From the airy three level outdoor Sky Garden on floor 58, visitors can enjoy the feel of the wind on their face and a gorgeous view of the city. Various events are also held in the garden. There are also cafes, bars, and restaurants offering super views as well as shops selling original goods. The closest stations are Tennoji Station and Osaka Abenobashi Station.

    This shrine was founded during Emperor Hanzei's reign (406-410) right in Saishoyama Park. This shrine is dedicated to three Shinto gods, Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi and Susanoo. It was once known as the Himeyama Shrine and was where people of Rikuzen Province once went to pray for the god of sealing wind, but has become more commonly known as Sanko Shrine in Miyagi District. In 1908 Himeyama-jinja Shrine and Sanko-jinja Shrine were merged, becoming Sanko-jinja Shrine. It's believed that Saishoyama was where Sanada Maru, a small fort of Osaka Castle, once stood.

    玉造駅からほど近い場所にある神社です。真田幸村が大阪城の出城として陣を張った真田丸の一角にあり、幸村関連の展示があります。銅像もなかなか立派ですし、真田の抜け穴と呼ばれる場所もその近くにあるので、歴史ファンなら興味深い場所です。

    This temple is located in Teramoto, Nagano City. It was originally called Unshinji, when En no Ozunu built it in the year 701. Kukai visited this temple at the beginning of the Heian period, and when he visited again in 815, he named it Kanshinji. It is said, that this is when the Nyoirin Kannon carving, a Buddhist statue rarely shown to the public, which Kukai made with his own hands, was designated as a National Treasure. Kondo, which is also a National Treasure, is the oldest designated national treasure in the prefecture of Osaka. The temple is also famous for its Cherry blossoms and Autumn leaves, and has been selected as a natural landmark in the prefecture's top 100 natural places in Osaka.

    This Shinto shrine on the eastern side of Domyo-ji Temple is located approximately a three-minute walk fromDomyoji Station. Domyoji Tenmangu Shrine is made in the style of Gongen-zukuri, a style of Shinto architecture in which the main hall, offering hall and the worship hall are connected via an intermediate passageway. This is a shrine enshrining Sugawara no Michizane and his aunt. Many festivals are held related to Sugawara no Michizane who is worshipped as the god of scholarship. There are mounds covering reverently buried calligraphy brushes in the precincts, and the Brush Festival, thanking the used brushes and praying to improve at calligraphy, is held annually. Visitors can also see many national treasures including belongings of Lord Michizane on the days that the treasury is open.

    道明寺駅下りて徒歩数分。商店街を抜けた先にあります。週末早朝訪問。炎天下とあってウォーキングやジョギングにはハードル高め。北野や太宰府と学問の神様にあやかりたい方には天満宮巡礼の旅もいとをかし。撫で牛もありますが、時節柄お触りは控えた方が良いでしょう。

    This museum is dedicated to land development history, with the dyke and unearthed cultural assets from Japan's oldest dammed reservoir, the historic Sayamaike. The dam was designed by architect Tadao Ando. The first thing to draw visitors' eyes is the permanent exhibition of a cross section of the dyke, which was created using the Shikiha koho method of construction, in the Asuka period. A 15-meter high and 60-meter wide section of the dyke was reconstructed for the exhibition, so the stratum of 1,400 years since the dyke's construction can be clearly seen. A place of lifelong learning, there are also many special exhibits and items of interest in the museum.

    This natural park extending along the northern mountainous district of Mino City has close to 1,000 varieties of plants and is inhabited by more than 3,000 varieties of insects. Visitors can enjoy a variety of nature in all four seasons such as spring’s cherry blossoms and winter’s frost-covered trees and icicles, but the changing leaves in autumn are particularly beautiful. This is also known as a famous place for its waterfall, and the Mino-no-Taki waterfall with a width of five meters and a drop of 33 meters has been designated as one of Japan’s top 100 waterfalls. A hiking course follows a mountain stream from the bridge at the park entrance to the large waterfall, and is constantly traversed by people throughout the year. The park is approximately 30 minutes by train from downtown Osaka.

    This temple is located in Mizuma, Kaizuka City. While it is commonly called Mizuma Kannon, its official name is Mizuma-dera Temple. According to legend, the temple was built by Gyoki, on Emperor Shomu's orders. The temple's name comes from the meeting of the Kogi River, flowing down from Mt. Katsuragi, and the Kibitani tributary River. The current main hall was rebuilt in 1811, with the temple having been razed multiple times by the fires of war. The principle object of worship in the temple is a Kannon that drives away misfortune. The Shogatsu Hoe and Senbon Mochitsuki festivals, which are held every New Year, are designated Intangible Cultural Properties of Kaizuka City.

    南海電車の貝塚駅から水間鉄道に乗り換え、終点で降りる。奈良時代に行基が創建したという由緒のある寺。瀧から仙人が現れて聖観音菩薩を行基に渡したという伝説がある。寺の周囲に塀がないので開放的でいい。

    ホテルから近かったのでちょっと寄ってみました。入場は無料です。科学技術の紹介ということで気軽に見学できます。ただ、わざわざ大人の一人旅で立ち寄るような魅力は感じなかったので、なにかのついでなどでない限りはお勧めしません。

    This shrine is only a five-minute walk from the Higashi-Tengachaya Station on the Hankai Uemachi Line. Found in the Abeno district, the renown Onmyouji (diviner/sooth-sayer) Abe no Seimei is enshrined here. To sooth the spirit of Abe no Seimei, Emperor Ichijo ordered the shrine to be constructed on the grounds of the Seimei clan mansion in year 1007. In addition to a stone monument at the place of Abe no Seimei's birth and a bronze statue there is also the remnants of Ubuyui (a well made for his first birth), making this a must see for fans of Seimei. Many come to pray for blessings including those wishing to improve academically, those hoping to pass exams, and those wishing for safe childbirth. Every year a ceremony is held on September 26th, the anniversary of Seimei's passing.

    阪堺電気軌道の東天下茶屋駅から徒歩3分ほど。近くに鎮座する阿倍王子神社の末社。 1007年(晴明没後2年)創建。祭神は安倍晴明。現社殿は1925年築で木造銅板葺き。安倍晴明の出生地は阿倍野とされており、当社には「安倍晴明生誕伝承地」「安倍晴明誕生地」と彫られた2つの石碑が立てられ、産まれた時に使用した産湯の井戸が再現されている。

There are plenty of spots where you can enjoy nature, such as the “Rose Garden” that blooms with over 2,300 roses in spring and fall, the “Fall Foliage Valley” boasts stunning leaf colors in the autumn, and a big lake with birds swimming in it. Complete with large grassy fields and plains, this is a great spot for a family picnic.

    This seaside park is in Sawa, Kaizuka City, Osaka Prefecture and contains Nishikinohama Beach Park, a popular Osaka sea bathing spot. The blue sea, sand, and pine forest are gorgeous, and many visitors come to enjoy the one-kilometer stretch of beach. Surrounding a monument shaped like a sailboat mast is a sports field and several play structures, while the east side of the park has tennis courts and a baseball field. The “cherry blossom viewing hill” is covered in cherry blossoms in spring, and there are zones where you can enjoy seasonal blooms as well. Families can enjoy the day here.

    This is a bridge over the Dotonbori River in Chuo Ward, Osaka City, Osaka, located connecting the center of the downtown areas of Shinsaibashi-suji and Ebisubashi-suji. The bridge is also often called “Hikkake-bashi” (pick-up bridge) locally. On the southwest side is the Glico signboard, a popular spot for taking commemorative photos. The bridge is also famous as the spot where many young people jumped into the Dotonbori River when the Hanshin Tigers won the championship or when the Japanese national team won the soccer World Cup. There is a circular area on the current bridge where tourists can easily stop.

When arranged for its primary use of the appreciation of traditional Japanese performance art the main hall holds 1,552 seats but it can be rearranged to serve a multitude of functions, anything from theater, opera, ballet and classical concerts to conventions.
