    Approximately a seven-minute walk from the Amanohashidate Station of the Kyoto Tango Railway, and about a 10-minute drive from the Miyazu Amanohashidate Interchange off of the Kyoto Jukan Expressway, this beach is located in a westerly direction towards the ocean, starting from the north side of the Daitenkyo Bridge. One of the attractive features of this beach is its direct accessibility from the Shotenkyo Bridge through the many minshuku and ryokan lodgings. The swimming season opens every year in mid-July, filling the beach with visitors who are enjoying the white sand, clear blue water and the green trees that dot the Amanohashidate, which is lighted up at night every year for a limited time only.

    A beach northeast of the Shotenkyo. Situated on the westernmost tip of the six kilometer long Long Beach on the Sea of Japan, this beach is the best stretch of white sands and green pines in Sanin Kaigan National Park. During swimming season each year the beach bustles with visitors. The beach was also selected for inclusion in the 88 Best Swimming Beaches in Japan list in 2001. The waters here are shallow and excellent for families with children; another of the area's charms is its abundance of hotels nearby, making this a great destination for a trip. Beachside clubhouses and DJ booths operate during the swimming season.

    A designated National Place of Scenic Beauty and Natural Monument, this beach offers “singing sands” which make a pleasant squeaking noise when stepped on. The beach’s waters are extremely clear. Walk along its 1.8 kilometer length and you will find some portions make a sound like a drum. “Singing sands” are a sign that a beach is extremely clean and as the ashes from cigarettes disrupts this effect, no smoking is permitted on the beach. A free open-air bath where you can warm yourself in between swims is located in the middle of the beach.

    "A three minute walk from the ""Hamazume"" bus stop and a 40 minute drive from the Yosa-Amanohashidate interchange. This convenient beach is located near numerous inns and is situated at the easternmost tip of eight kilometer long Long Beach. Also known as ""Yuhigaura"" (""Sunset Beach""), the vaunted sunsets visible from the beach turn the sky and ocean vivid gradations of pink. There are swings and roofed benches from which visitors can watch the setting sun. From mid-July to around mid-August, visitors can enjoy swimming and camping in the area. Events such as fireworks shows and Bon Festival dancing are also held here."
