    Kokoya is a traditional Japanese confectionery store located on Yuge Road in the Yamanaka Hot Springs district. Its most famous product item is dango (dumplings) made using puffed Koshihikari rice. Eight different types are available, including Yomogi (mugwort) with Tsubuan (coarse sweet bean paste) and Mitarashi (dumplings covered with sweet soy sauce), Isobe (dumplings wrapped in seaweed) and Kinako (soybean flour) dumplings. Visitors who can’t decide which to choose can buy a boxed set containing several different flavors.

Shibafune Koide sells a range of locally-made, high-quality confectionery, including “Shibafune” senbei rice crackers made with ginger jelly, three varieties of “Sanyaso” steamed sponge-cake style confectionery, etc. The store also has its own café, and is a great place to drop in while strolling round the Nishi-chayagai area of Kanazawa City.

    忍者寺から30分近く歩いて到着しました。 カフェスペースは、和菓子屋さんというより、明るいカフェ、という感じです。 和栗のモンブラン等美味しそうなメニューで悩みましたが、色々な味を楽しめるプレートにしました。お餅が美味しかったです。

    Okashijyou Kagahan features a full selection of its famous original sweets, particularly traditional Kaga snacks. It is a long-established store, a specialty business with one of the best markets in Japan, that has inherited traditional culture of Kaga clan. On any day, it offers over 300 varieties of sweets, including its own homegrown products. You can even get a glimpse of freshly-made products through glass windows facing the production line. Approximately 20 minutes by car via Katayamatsu Interchange on the Hokuriku Expressway.

    ゴールデンウィーク中でしたが、混み具合はほどほど、大型バスがきたらまた変わるかもしれませんが、見学しながら試食できました。メジャーなほしいお菓子がない場合もありますが、お土産第1弾にはちょうどよいかもと思いました。

One of the shop's most popular items is the ""Coji Dora,"" a hearty serving of anko sandwiched between two moist pancakes made with honey and brown sugar. In the summer, the shop sells kintoki adzuki bean shaved ice and mizu yokan jelly. The shop also offers more unusual items, like a sweet zenzai soup made with anko and coffee, and a cafe au lait zenzai soup."

The shop's kintsuba, a traditional sweet consisting of sweet beans wrapped in a flour dough, is its signature item, and is made with particular emphasis on the flavor of the beans. Inside, the square kintsuba blocks are stuffed with whole, plump adzuki beans. The shop uses top quality Dainagon beans from Hokkaido. The kanten algae gelatin, an essential ingredient in making the dough, Is Tanba kanten made in Kyoto. The shop also actively incorporates local ingredients, and the ""Igaguri,"" a select variety of kintsuba, is filled with large Noto chestnuts."

The restaurant's signature item is the ""Roppo-yaki,"" a baked sweet made by hand one at a time. This simple confection has been made for six generations since the establishment first opened. Small square cakes, Roppo-yaki are made with just select, homemade an bean paste, wheat flour, eggs, and honey. Baked a toasty, golden brown, the cakes have a delicately sweet flavor that fills the mouth. Visitors can watch Roppo-yaki being baked from a glass window at the front of the shop. Many customers, entranced by the owner's skillful technique, find themselves being drawn into the shop. The shop does not offer its products wholesale; this shop is the only place you can buy its goods."

The shop's simple miso manju steamed buns consist of homemade an pasted created with select, Hokkaido-grown white kidney beans in a miso-flavored dough. A renowned Noto area favorite, the light, not-too-sweet flavor is popular with men as well as women. The shop takes pride in the fact that you can never tire of this flavor no matter how many of its buns you eat. The shop sells other sweets, as well, like the ""Fukkura,"" a soft puff pastry filled with a moderately sweet cream; and the bite sized ""Jojomochi"" rice cakes filled with a sesame seed sauce."

    和倉温泉の帰りには必ずよります、昔から七尾の銘菓ですここのみそまんじゅうはあんがみそ味素朴な味で好きです、またふっくらも洋風の味で美味いです。

    "A senbei rice cracker shop which is the official senbei provider to the Soji-ji Temple Daihonzan (Head temple), an ancient temple in Wajima. The shop has operated a stall in the Wajima Morning Market for over half a century. The shop's products are popular not only with locals but tourists as well. The shop's senbei are made with ""ingredients needed by your body"" which Japanese people have eaten since ancient times, baked as-is without additives into tasty rice crackers. The shop's crisp and slightly sweet ""Asaichi Senbei Kanmi,"" one of the most popular products sold in the market, are made with potato starch as the main ingredient and are thus also known as ""jagaimo"" (potato) senbei. In addition to old fashioned Wajima-style shio (salt) senbei, the shop's ""Ishiru Senbei,"" made with traditional Noto ishiru fish sauce, are also recommended. (Address listed is for factory.     南部煎餅に似ていますが、硬さや甘さの加減が違います。名物は塩味ですが、魚醤ベースのいしり味もあります。サービスもよく、うれしいお店です。

    いちご大福が大好きなので、買って帰ってうちで食べました。つぶあんがあったのが珍しいと思いましたが、結局普通のこしあんの方が好みでした。
