Shibafune Koide is a long-established traditional Japanese confectionery store (founded in 1917) that is located on National Route 157, in 3 Chome, Nomachi Town, Kanazawa City. Shibafune Koide sells a range of locally-made, high-quality confectionery, including “Shibafune” senbei rice crackers made with ginger jelly, three varieties of “Sanyaso” steamed sponge-cake style confectionery, etc. The store also has its own café, and is a great place to drop in while strolling round the Nishi-chayagai area of Kanazawa City.

金沢市野町にあります。前はここに本店があったが今は横川にあります。しっとり生地とこしあんで多幸感に包まれる桜餅、柴舟は有名だが桜餅も美味いです。

マロングラッセを和風にしたようなお菓子ですが、上品で程良い甘さで、金沢の和菓子のクオリティーの高さに驚きました。とても美味しかったです。

金沢の名物として知られている生姜のお煎餅、紫舟です。生姜が大好きなのでこちらは好きです。砂糖のコーティングがもう少し少なめでいいかなとも。お煎餅が硬いので高齢者のお土産用には不向きかもしれません。
