Uozu Aquarium is located in the Sanga district of Uozu City. The first aquarium on this site was opened in 1913, making it the first aquarium to be established on the Sea of Japan side of the country. The current Uozu Aquarium, which opened in 1981, is the third aquarium to occupy the site. Focused on the themes of “From the streams of the Northern Alps to the deep waters of the Sea of Japan” and “Taking a scientific look at Toyama Bay,” the Museum also uses Japan’s first transparent acrylic glass tunnel to showcase Toyama’s aquatic life forms. There is also a “Rice Field Biodiversity” zone, which features amphibians and reptiles such as Tonosama Frogs and Japanese Rat Snakes.

"This ""super onsen"" hot springs spa is located in an urban area of Uozu City along the Hokuriku Expressway. They are especially proud of their Tateyama Renbo Panorama Daiyokuden, a large public bath featuring stones gathered from across the country that have been carefully arranged to resemble the Tateyama Mountain Range. The ability to enjoy magnificent natural scenery right in front of your eyes despite being in an indoor bath is quite appealing. Another attraction of note is their Teien Dai-Rotenburo, a large open air bath decorated with large stones (sourced primarily from Shikoku) that have been arranged in the style of a Japanese garden. There, you can relax while enjoying the diverse scenery of the changing seasons. The spa's other facilities include a spacious rest area, relaxation rooms, and a game corner."

Featuring lively events and sale of Uozu specialty goods and fresh sea fare taken up at Uozu Port, Toyama Prefecture, Sea Station Shinkiro is quite active early in the morning. Toyama Areas

around-area-map

Toyama is one of the three prefectures that house the Japanese Alps, with its southern and eastern borders comprising one long stretch of mountains, out of which the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route is forged. While traditional crafts fill the northern coastal cities of Toyama and Takaoka, thatched roof houses offer unrivalled views against a backdrop of fantastic scenery at Gokayama in the mountainous area in the south of the prefecture.
