A one-minute walk from Exit 13 of Tameike-Sanno Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line. This lounge is located in the ANA InterContinental Tokyo hotel's Atrium Lobby, an open and airy space designed around the concepts of water and light. Here you can enjoy herbal teas from 180-year-old German brand Ronnefeldt and a variety of other beverages and light foods while basking in the unusual harmony created between the bustle of the lobby and the various plants and other natural touches placed here and there. The cake set, which comes with a cake by Pierre Gagnaire Pains et Gateaux along with a cup of coffee or black tea, is particularly recommended.

A very nice breakfast with lots of variety. Fruit, yoghurt, eggs, sausages and meat, pastries and toast. There are Indian choices, salad and a small variety of sushi (though it would be nice to see...

Tokyo Minato-ku Roppongi 7-22-2 National Art Center, 2nd floor
A fashionable café located on the second floor of the National Art Center, Tokyo in the Roppongi area of Minato City. Built on top of a giant, upside-down cone, the café makes you feel almost as if you are floating in mid-air. It is also famous as a frequent setting for dramas and animated movies. Customers can enjoy a commanding view of the museum in the open and airy atmosphere of the shop, enjoying the art with a cup of authentic matcha green tea and a sweet at the same time. The café’s limited time menu items created in collaboration with the museum’s special exhibits are particularly popular.

A “next generation senbei cracker shop” launched by a venerable and long-loved establishment in the Nakamise shopping arcade of the Asakusa area. The modern Western stylings of the shop and its array of novel sweets and snacks which break free from the conventional mold of senbei and arare crackers has drawn much media attention. The shop’s more traditional senbei, hand toasted over a charcoal fire; as well as its fried pasta, made with select ingredient pasta and offered in tasty salt and carbonara flavors, have won the shop favor as new souvenir and gift staples. The closest station is Azabu-Juban Station.

Shiroikuro uses high-quality Tamba black beans in their desserts and tea. Their Japanese desserts are great to bring home or give as a gift. Their famous black bean salt daifuku uses freshly pounded rice mochi and large salted black beans. These daifuku are filled with slightly sweet red-adzuki beans and cut with salted black beans which really brings out the Japanese flavors.

Tokyo Areas

around-area-map

The setting of countless iconic movie scenes and the inspiration for songs, poetry, and literature worldwide, Tokyo barely requires an introduction. It’s hard for the kaleidoscopic neon lights, wacky pop culture, and some of the world’s tallest structures not to instill excitement in any first-time visitor to Tokyo, whether you’re in the very center of the hustle and bustle in Shinjuku or Shibuya or looking in from the quieter suburbs.
