"This white lighthouse, which was built at the southernmost tip of the Boso Peninsula in Chiba Prefecture in 1869, is also known as the ""Swan Lighthouse"" because of its shining white light. There is a walking trail around the lighthouse, and many people enjoy walking along the cape in the sea breeze."

It was windy when I visited and I didnt climb the lighthouse but walking around was pleasant, it has a well kept, clean and there are shops and restaurants around.

"This 15-meter-tall lighthouse, standing on the southwestern tip of the Boso Peninsula, was first lit up in 1919. The structure is registered as a National Tangible Cultural Property. Marguerites and rapeseed flowers have been planted around the lighthouse, leading to some referring to the area as ""Cape Marguerite."" On clear days, visitors to this picturesque destination can get a sweeping view encompassing sights such as Mt. Fuji and Izu Oshima Island."

The Boso Peninsula forms the main body of Chiba prefecture, and this is where you’ll find its endless warm water beaches and jagged mountains. Further inland, Narita - most famous as the home of Narita Airport - is a secret haven of tradition and history in the form of centuries-old Shinshoji Temple and quaint wooden Edo buildings. Chiba prefecture is also home to both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea.
