- Chiba Pref. Katsurashi Ubara
- "This quintessential example of a ria coast was formed via erosion caused by the crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean. ""Ubara Risokyo"" refers to all of Cape Myojin in Ubara, Katsuura City. Coastal plants also grow thickly here and the area is a naturally rich, picturesque destination. A favorite of writers and artists since ancient times, Akiko Yosano, in particular, wrote many poems about the area. The name ""Risokyo,"" meaning ""ideal land,"" is derived from the plan to turn the area into a holiday villa community in the Tahsho period (1912-1926)."

- "A plateau cape located in Minamiboso City, Chiba Prefecture. Situated on the southern tip of the Boso Peninsula, the cape projects out into the Pacific Ocean. Nojimasaki Lighthouse, nicknamed the ""Swan Lighthouse"" and the second oldest extant lighthouse in Japan, is located on the cape. The area is maintained as a park and visitors can enjoy walking its grounds. In the reef area just offshore, traditional ama women divers gather abalone and red algae."

Chiba Areas
The Boso Peninsula forms the main body of Chiba prefecture, and this is where you’ll find its endless warm water beaches and jagged mountains. Further inland, Narita - most famous as the home of Narita Airport - is a secret haven of tradition and history in the form of centuries-old Shinshoji Temple and quaint wooden Edo buildings. Chiba prefecture is also home to both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea.
