- A specialty beef tongue shop located in 4 Chome Ichibancho, Aoba Ward, Sendai City. Opened as a gyutan (beef tongue) grill in Sendai City in 1948, it is considered the father of all gyutan restaurants. They offer a set meal of gyutan-yaki plus barley with wheat rice, along with oxtail and tongue soup—all made using the trade secrets developed by the founder.

It serves Beef Tongue Kyoku which is cut thicker than normal and cooked to be tender and juicy as well as sets as tongue stew and tongue curry. The menu also includes various dishes using beef tongue and seasonal ingredients as well as sashimi from live fish kept in the restaurant.

- Sendai Izakaya Ohana always has 40 to 50 types of sake from Tohoku and Miyagi available and is a popular restaurant for sashimi (sliced raw fish) and local cuisine created by experienced chefs. There are also many quiet private rooms that can be used for various events such as dinner parties, dinner meetings, welcome parties, and dates. Advance viewings are also accepted. For lunch the “Daily Ohana” is recommended, and at night the “Basho course, with all you can drink” is recommended. Guests will be very satisfied with both presentation and taste. It is a four minute walk from JR Sendai Station.

仙台駅から徒歩5分ほど。クリスロードに面したビルの1階にある居酒屋。カウンター席、テーブル席、座敷があり、シャンデリアがぶら下がる店内はお洒落な感じ。季節に合わせた地酒があり、牛たんなどの郷土料理の他、銀鮭の香草焼などの洋風料理もある。料理は手が掛かっており、見た目が美しく味もおいしい。 たまたま入った店であるが大当たりであった。

厚切りの牛タン極定食はやはり有名店だけあって普通に美味しかった。テールスープもネギがたくさんは入っていて美味しい。連れが頼んだ牛タンシチューもタンがたくさん入っていてお得な感じでした。予約していきましたが、お店は小規模であまり混雑していませんでした。仙台駅から多少歩きますが、落ち着いて食べられる穴場かもしれません。

仙台ならここに行くべしと友人が予約してくれました。 名物はキンキの炭火焼。また食べ終わったキンキをスープにしてくれました。今回はそのキンキの炭火焼が入っているコースを注文しました。 沢山の品数で本当に美味しかったです。 ただ1点カウンターの端だったのですが少し寒かったです。 次回はブランケットを用意して頂けたらと思いました。
