    Kanagawa Ashigarashimo-gun Hakonemachi Motohakone
This group of stone Buddhas are located around Shojin Pond. The road in this area used to be a part of Yusaka Road, a road used in the Kamakura period (1185-1333), and it was the toughest pass along it. For this reason, the area around Shojin Pond, where there are no living things, is said to be a fork in the road to the six realms (hells, hungry ghosts, animals, demi-gods, humans and gods). As a result, the belief in Jizo and Bodhisattva watching over the six realms flourished, and many stone Buddhas were built. They have been designated a national important cultural property as relics that tell the story of the medieval belief in Jizo.

Mie Iga-shi Ueno Marunouchi 117-13 Uenokoen Uchi
This temple was built in 1942 to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the birth of Iga City-born haiku master Matsuo Basho. Standing in a corner of Ueno Park, the building is said to represent Basho, a frequent traveler, on the road. The temple enshrines a life-sized Iga ware statue of Basho which is only made viewable to the general public during the Basho Festival on the date of his death. The temple's distinctive rounded roof represents a traditional Japanese traveling hat, while its octagonal eaves represent traveling clothes under a traditional straw raincoat. As the only temple in the country to represent the traveling poet Basho via its very architecture, it was designated a National Important Cultural Property (Structure) in 2010.
