    This winery located along Prefectural Route 34 in Enzanshimoozo, Koshu City is where you can experience a free factory tour, as well as tours of the breweries and storehouses, wine tastings, shopping and more. At the associated Wine Cafe, a shop which uses earthen warehouses from the Edo period that have been recognized as tangible cultural assets to Japanese history, you can enjoy all of the wines brewed by the winery, as well as snacks, lunch, coffee and homemade cakes.

There is a wine and wine goods shop, and it is also partnered with a guest room, where you can also pay for a wine tasting.

The winery's principal products are its haskap wine, made with the haskap berries which are one of Chitose's specialty products; and its Kita Wine, a pinot noir made with Kerner grapes notable for its mellow flavor and fruity aroma. The winery's cool, full-bodied, wines, redolent with fruit flavor, make perfect souvenirs and gifts. HOUSUI WINERY strives to ensure that the wines it produces reflect local conditions in Iwamizawa, and its RICCA brand wines have a snow crystal motif on the label. What makes HOUSUI WINERY special is that, rather than relying on large-scale automated production, the winery continues to use traditional, painstaking wine-making methods. Besides wines, the sales outlet also sells soft-serve ice cream, art-works and other items.

    This cider brewery is located in Mashike-cho. Cider is an alcoholic beverage made by fermenting apples. Mashike-cho is Hokkaido's leading fruit producing area, and is the northernmost apple harvesting area in Japan. Only specially selected apples from Mashike, Hokkaido with high quality and of different varieties are used in the cider from Mashike Fruit Winery. There are two types of Mashike Cider: a sweet type with low alcohol, and a dry type with moderate acidity and a refreshing aroma. The flavor changes with the blending of the year of manufacture, and each delicious encounter is unique. They also have other drinks such as Mashike Poire using pears.

    The winery north of Joetsu City in Niigata Prefecture includes vineyards and a wine shop, a wine cellar with an attached yukimuro refrigerated snow room, and a restaurant where visitors can enjoy wine and local foods. Zenbei Kawakami, known as the “Japanese father of wine” established the winery in 1890. It is said to be one of the oldest wineries in existence in Japan and has continued making high-quality domestic wines. Various wines such as premium wine made only from grapes grown at the vineyard on site and the famous wine “Miyukibana”, which was awarded a silver medal in the “Japan Wine Competition,” are available at the shop.

Inside the winery visitors can see where the wine is stored and how it is made from behind the glass. As well as a shop which sells wine and cheese, there is also a bar and cafe where visitors can try some Hiruzen cheese with a glass of wine.

After eating their fill of grapes, participants can try the traditional winemaking technique of grape stomping. No reservation is necessary for groups under 10 people.
