Many ancient stone statues of Kshitigarbha (Jizo) stand on the grounds, and the temple's principal object of worship is also a depiction of Kshitigarbha; in turn, it can be inferred that the temple was a center of Kshitigarbha worship in the area. The temple's eleven-faced statue of Avalokitesvara (Kannon), adorned with 11 small heads on top, is believed to have been created in the Heian period. The solemn statue bears an expressive face and visible wood grain and has been designated a National Important Cultural Property. There is also a small garden on the grounds started as a hobby by the chief priest which blooms with the flowers of around 200 varieties of roses.
