A field of sunflowers spanning six sections located in Sayo Town, Sayo County, Hyogo Prefecture. One of the largest sunflower fields in the Kansai region, the flowers come into bloom each year from early July to the beginning of August. Consisting of over 1.3 million sunflower plants, the sections are planted so that their blooming periods are slightly staggered. During the Sunflower Festival held in the area each year, visitors can purchase farm products like sunflower seed oil and sunflower ice cream made with roasted sunflower seeds, local specialties. Events making use of the field are held such as fireworks displays and mazes.
