    You’ll find this rest area at Yawatahama Port in Yawatahama City, Ehime Prefecture. The site includes the “Information Center Multipurpose Hall,” which offers information on roads and sea routes as well as city events and tourist spots, the “Doya Market,” which offers fresh seafood caught the same day at reasonable prices, and the “Agora Marche,” which sells specialty products such as citrus fruits and vegetables. The popular dining hall and food court feature cuisine made with fresh fish and local ingredients. There’s also an expansive park full of greenery and a seaside boardwalk that’s perfect for a leisurely stroll.

    フェリーの八幡浜港のすぐそばにある道の駅。魚市場や案内所などがある。近くには公園のようなスペースとボードウオークがあり、ここからの海の眺めは素晴らしい。「道の駅」というより「海の駅」というべきか。

    This rest stop is located in Benten Town, Uwajima City, Ehime Prefecture, and serves as a base for sightseeing and exchange that showcases the appeal of Uwajima.     宇和島港近くにある道の駅。 道の駅内にもフードコート的な場所もありますが、 道の駅入口横にある『河内屋蒲鉾 あげたて家』でじゃこ天を購入。 揚げたてだったのか、熱々でとても美味しいじゃこ天でした。

    This is a roadside rest area located along National Route 381 in Matsuno Town, Kitauwa County, Ehime Prefecture. The “Shimanto River Learning Center Osakana-kan (aquarium)” is located on the grounds, and the breeding and exhibition of living creatures from Shimanto River, which is said to be the last clear stream in Japan, can be seen. In addition, visitors can enjoy recycled glass product workshops, experience glass blowing at Morinokuni Glass Studio Kazane, interact and play with water and nature in the Yasuragi zone, purchase specialty products at the sales center, as well as enjoy a casual eating area and restaurants.     ツアーでトイレ休憩を兼ねて立ち寄りました。冷蔵庫の中には魚や、切った晩柑などが並んでいました。２房分くらいが１袋に入って、それが大袋に10袋以上入っていて、120円！私が買うのを見て、ツアー客が次々とお買い上げ。爽やかな甘さで美味しかったです。

    津島高田ICに近い、かなり規模の大きな道の駅です。今は特産品販売所以外は休止してしまっているようです。 ここの魅力は、津島平安太鼓の常設施設があること。かなり大きな巨木で作ったでっかい太鼓があり、訪ねた時も、皆さんの練習風景を楽しむことが出来ました。 運が良ければ、練習風景や演武が見れるかもしれません。立ち寄ってみてください。

    コチラは、鬼北町と漢字で書いて、きほくちょうと呼ばれます町で、元々は宇和島にあります鬼ヶ城山から見まして北にあることから、漬けられました地名だそうです。その鬼北町にあります、かあり立派な道の駅です。やはり、ここで目を引きますのは、若い母鬼が、赤ちゃんを抱いています、ちょっと変わったモニュメントがあるところです。

    人がいっぱいだったのでびっくりしました。 特産品もいろいろ売っていたので、鬼北町周辺の新鮮なものが手に入ります。 鬼のモニュメントは印象的です。

    名前の通り、野菜とか果物などの農産物が売ってます。季節柄、特産のみかんがたくさん売ってました。もちろん東京より安く、特に規格外のような、ちょっと小さいものとかは破格ですね。一休みに最適な道の駅です。

Stretched across the northwest corner of Shikoku island, Ehime is a nature-rich prefecture boasting beautiful coastlines and a rural center where mountains play host to 26 of the Buddhist temples that make up the Shikoku Pilgrimage. Matsuyama is home to an original post-feudal castle as well as Dogo Onsen, one of the country’s oldest natural hot springs. The northern city of Imabari marks the entrance to the Shimano Kaido, a road that crosses six spectacular bridges and several islands, forming a route between Shikoku and mainland Honshu.
