"This museum is located with ""Special Ruins Toro Remains"", a farming village from the Yayoi period. Divided into themes of ""Toro Town and Rice-Farming"", and ""Remembering Toro Remains"" (history of Toro Regains), there are displays of unearthed artifacts discovered in the Toro Remains. The regular exhibit on the second floor introduces you to the Yayoi culture which developed in Toro town, which was a farming village focused on paddy rice-farming. In the ""Yayoi Experience Exhibit"" on the first floor, you can get a real sense of the lifestyle of the Yayoi period through a recreation of buildings such as the altar."

Shizuoka Areas

around-area-map

With the giant Pacific Ocean to the south and the great Mount Fuji to the north, Shizuoka prefecture is blessed with some of the best views the country has to offer. The white sand beaches of the Izu Peninsula are a rare find on mainland Japan, neighbored by beautiful cliffs, tumbling hills, and natural hot springs. As Japan’s largest producer of green tea, the age-old tradition of tea drinking is ubiquitous in Shizuoka, from the miles of tea fields to the old tea houses hosting traditional tea ceremonies.
