KENNY’S HOUSE CAFE Izu Kogen Main Shop is a café located a 10-minute walk from Izu Kogen Station in Yawatano, Ito City. Milky soft-serve ice cream using fresh milk from Izu is famous but it also has waffles, crepes and a full range of meals such as beef stew and curries. Deep fried soft-serve ice cream with milky soft-serve ice cream held in fresh deep-fried bread has also become a popular menu item.

This pottery workshop in Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture offers visitors a chance to try their hand at Izu pottery. This workshop was authorized by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry as Business innovation which utilizes unique and ingenious pottery kiln method to create original works of pottery inspired by Izu's famous products and scenery. These include their Izu-Shirahama ware (which depicts Izu's famous Shirahama beach), Izu no Sakura to Na no Hana ware (which depicts Izu's famous cherry blossoms and rape blossoms), and Amagi Wasabi ware (which depicts the wasabi grown around Izu's Mt. Amagi). The workshop and its facilities were built by the staff themselves, leaving as many trees standing as possible in order to leverage the natural landscape of Izu Kogen. This Japanese-style café on Nakamise-dori Street in front of Atami Station also serves as a workshop and gallery that displays Izu’s folk art and works by artisans. The shop has a relaxed atmosphere thanks to the warmth of its wood interior and high ceiling. Guests can enjoy specialty coffee which is hand-dripped after receiving the order in handmade cups made by artists. Their sweets made with carefully selected ingredients such as the Shira-tama Cream Anmitsu and the Mitsu-mame are also popular.

古くからある商店街の中に、オシャレなカフェといった雰囲気でした。焙煎珈琲豆がテイクアウトでき、注文してから焙煎してくれるので、少し時間がかかりますが、新鮮な香りが楽しめそうです。
