    A memorial museum established in order to aid education and share with local residents the achievements of Aizu Yaichi, an honorary citizen of Niigata City known for his extensive contributions to the study of art history. Located on the fifth floor of Niigata Nippo Media Ship, a 20-story multipurpose complex, the museum holds a variety of exhibits with the aim of introducing Aizu Yaichi from a variety of angles. The museum also holds photo competitions, lectures, screenings of films connected to its special exhibitions, and workshops, and the facility serves as a place where everyone is welcome and can come in contact with Aizu’s worldview.

    This mansion built by the Japanese king of petroleum, Kanichi Nakano in 1904 was converted into this art museum and made opened to the public. It is located in the Petroleum Park, east of the JR Yashiroda Station on Prefectural Route 41. It is a typical wooden building of the Meiji period built in the Niigata prefecture, and the artworks from the Edo period to the near-modern and modern periods housed inside are owned by the Nakano family, but have been made accessible to the public. The seasonal Senkei-en garden adjacent to the memorial hall can also be counted as one of the art objects in their own right. The autumn leaves are especially beautiful, and make it a very popular sightseeing spot for their photogeneity.

    旧味方村にある豪農の館「笹川邸」の裏にあります。 味方村出身の2人の偉人（名誉村民）を顕彰しています。 1人は曽我量深という仏教思想家、もう1人は平澤興という神経解剖学者です。 こちらの職員の方が、笹川邸のマスコット「ささたん」を作って配布していました。 なお、味方村は合併し新潟市南区に組み込まれましたが、名誉市民や名誉区民になったとの記載は、館内にもパンフレットにもありませんでした。
