    This museum, located inside Sunshine City in Ikebukuro, is Japan's first dedicated to displaying materials on the ancient Orient. Designed to be a facility where visitors can learn about history by actually seeing it, exhibits include stone tools used by ancient peoples, recreations and models of ancient settlements, clay vessels and handicrafts exchanged between East and West excavated from archeological digs, and numerous priceless artefacts exhumed in Syria. There's also a movie room where you can watch a short video summarizing the history of the area from the origins of civilization through to the time of the Silk Road. The museum's shop sells original merchandise.

The museum also holds a variety of events to help visitors enjoy stamps. The shop on the first floor sells museum merchandise and stamps and postal goods from around the world. Visitors can also pay the museum entrance fee using stamps.
