    Established in 1804, this dry-goods store has operated out of the same storehouse since it was built in 1895. The structure has been designated a Tangible Cultural Property by Chiba Prefecture and the store has become a tourism destination as a kind of living museum. Some of the shop’s many popular items on offer include clothing remade from old cloth scraps, Koedo tenugui hand towels, and furoshiki wrapping cloths.

    昔ながらの建物で素敵な店づくりです。 夏の終わり、浴衣生地を使った洋服を飾って売られておりました。 洗うたびに柔らかく汗を吸い身になじむ浴衣地のブラウス？T-tシャツ風の物や すてきなワンピース風のものまで、浴衣ではちょっと派手になってしまったものでも 洋服にしたらまだ着られる！！ すてきな発見をいただきました。 古い浴衣をほどかなくっちゃ。
