- An apparel, knickknack, and accessories shop in Ohda City, Shimane Prefecture, the location of the Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine World Heritage Site. This shop is the flagship location of the Gugendo nationwide chain. Operating out of a remodeled old Japanese home standing on a 1,000 square meter plot of land, the shop has an apparel area, accessories area, and café space. Providing, as it were, food, clothing, and shelter, the shop aims to offer customers a lifestyle rooted in the local area. Gugendo sells clothing and accessories incorporating Japanese tastes and designed to be used every day. The café space offers home-style dishes made with seasonal ingredients such as satoyama rice balls.

前から大森町で人気の店でしたが何十年振りに寄ってみました。相変わらず人混みで溢れていて狭い喫茶室でしたが満席でした。

Shimane Areas
What Shimane prefecture lacks in size and population, it makes up for in scenery and ancient mythology.
