- Japan’s first National Park. It was created as part of the centennial celebration of the Meiji Restoration. Roughly three million square meters in size—enough to fit about sixty-five Tokyo Domes—the park includes Japan’s largest air trampoline, a playground, athletic equipment, a barbeque spot, an area for viewing all kinds of plant life, from cherry trees to camellia and plum trees. There is also a cycling course and other facilities. You can enjoy them all regardless of age all day in the park.

The Moomin Mansion, three stories plus a basement, a large, warm, wooden building centered on a fireplace, is a place for excited children to explore. The Forest House is a museum that displays materials about the life of children's author Tove Jansen, and there is a library on the second floor. Near the entrance to the park is a children's theater, popular with children for the musical events and story readings are held.

- This is a history park just a 15-minute walk from the Mizuhodai Station on the Tobutojo Line. This park was created to preserve and replicate the shell mounds, kaizuka, and villages from the Jomon Period discovered at this site. Discovered in 1917, and deemed of “good quality and of great scientific value,” this site was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1969. One can visit the exhibit introducing the lifestyle of the people at that time, and see the excavated earthenware, animal bones and learn about the pit dwellings replicated outdoors.

There are also rows of cherry trees and a rare dogtooth violet garden. The park bustles in spring with the many visitors who come to view the blossoms. A promenade and a gazebo let people enjoy them at their leisure. Every year, the Godaison Azalea Park Festival is held when the azaleas are in bloom.

- This nature park is located on a river terrace pn the left bank of Toki River. Designed on the idea of a biotope, it makes use of the original landscape with varied terrain including mixed forest and open meadows for the benefit of the creatures living there. The park is home to about 60 species of butterflies, including the omurasaki, the national butterfly of Japan. To help make it easier to spot them, greenery favored by their larvae as feed has been preserved in some places, as well as the flowers preferred by adults. Along with the huge variety of dragon flies at the clear Toki River and a nearby firefly viewing area, there are lots of insects to see in the summer.

総合公園ということですが、運動公園と言った方が相応しいような有料のスポーツ施設がメインの公園でした。1周1,329mのウォーキングコースがありますが、アスファルトでした。ひだか憩いの森は立入禁止で中に入ることはできません。無料で利用できるものとしは幼児用の遊具と体力づくりトレーニング器具がありました。
